Ya, and I dont think Liverpool could make any kind of claim to be Alonso’s preferred destination, all jobs considered. He was loved here but he’s a Spaniard and would probably have an eye on Madrid and maybe Bayern before Liverpool.
Obviously, we hope otherwise but…
So, Liverpool might already have gone for him.
Like, I wouldn’t be totally shocked to hear that we already had a manager lined up and all but i’s dotted, cause FSG have known for ages but the advantage is gone once this goes public.
Alonso refusing to rule a move out is very positive and that makes me think that perhaps that’s lined up.
Let’s hope it doesn’t distract him or his players in this season though, as this is something truly special.
