Happy with the win in the end.

Looked a lot better in defence and of course Isak with 2 nice goals. Still could have fed him earlier for more chances for him.

The only concern is wirtz. He just may not make it for us. Tippy tappy football and just too lightweight for the prem. He would be perfect in Spain.

Looking at the next 6 fixtures. With 4 being home games, need to go on a little run and build some momentum.

Ipswich haven’t really tested Liverpool the same way Newcastle and forest did. They’re not playing long balls over the top and we struggle with that and also the 2nd balls.

We just need to get the 3rd goal and most importantly the clean sheet. Would be nice for Isak to get his hatrick. Assist from barcola?

I have noticed when defending its 5 at the back with the right winger… playing as wing back.

I think szobo at right back will be required, until hopefully in Jan we can get someone else in. frimpong just gives you nothing in defence or attack.

Bingo, The problem is, it will make us a laughing stock if these guys don’t deliver. I personally couldn’t care any less if they cost £1bn each.

When you’re spending so much, you expect them to hit the ground running.

We can write-off last season and blame slot, but there’s no hiding place this season.

Liverpool could become the first club in history to have three £100m+ players on the pitch at the same time tomorrow.

That’s ridiculous and something that probably belongs better with Real Madrid or city.

The thing people are not talking about enough is why we are near the bottom of the running stats.

As a team we don’t look fit enough and also the lack of effort from some players is noticeable. Isak and Gakpo the biggest culprits. This then spreads through the team.

The slot playing style hangover is continuing and may take a while to get over.

In a way I’m glad we didn’t make any panic buys last minute. Any transfer activity should be done before and at the start of the window.

Look what’s happened to Everton. Sold players and then couldn’t get anyone in.

Let’s see how these next months pan out. I know January transfer is not the best, but we might make some signings then.

Finishing outside the top five places might be a good thing and the kick up the backside the club needs.

At best we sneak in like last season, at worst we’re in the conference league or no Europe next season.

I heard this on another forum and could have already been discussed here in the past….

The rumours are the signings we made last year were all signings made with the adidas sponsorship money and they only signed players who were sponsored by adidas!! No doubt a nice brown envelope each time for Edwards and hughes.

Probably nonsense, but could answer some questions regarding the players and suitability of these players who were signed.

All our rivals are making huge signings and we’re happy to just get barcola.

I agree with some others, that we will struggle to make champions league for next season.

Our squad is already threadbare, but we continue to let players leave for peanuts or for free.

We’ve been stung quite recently with the geuhi situation, so I rather the club not do any last minute deals or even attempt to.

At this late stage I’d rather we keep Gakpo, but hope we don’t sell and then are not able to get any replacements in. That would be a disaster.

Looks like Gakpo wants to leave with barcola coming in and taking his place.

Let’s see what happens though.

I think we should be getting a little worried at the lack of any movement. 2 days to go and barcola still hasn’t signed…

Something not quite right behind the scenes for sure. Iraola must be very frustrated.

Last minute transfers are always a massive risk. We always did our business early in the window.

Worst case scenario is Gakpo leaves and we don’t sign anyone to replace him.
