1st December 2019 at 3:55 pm in reply to: Week 14: A new dawn, a new day…. and I’m feeling gooooood!! #55039
Not quite Xmas, but Teams at the bottom I’d imagine are beginning to realise and feel their plight, so from their POV, the fight for survival if you like is on.
Those then slightly above them start to look over their shoulders and try and fight to avoid being sucked in.
That’s why there are no easy games.

I’ve never have known that in the ‘real world’ only for those that have resigned on their own accord to re-join their former employer.

The 2-1 wins seem to be accentuating. I am noticing though our front 3 collectively quiet on the goal-scoring front. We need goals, though of late, they’ve come from other players.
Van Dijk is pure Leadership from the Back. The Mersey Derby this Wednesday. Will Marco Silva still be at the Helm by then?
Bournemouth this coming Saturday, away. Not an easy place to go. The more points we can rack up before the crunch period the better. Whilst Fabs is out for us for the rest of the season, the Ox is proving to be a great driver and a link up player in the midfield.

1st December 2019 at 1:02 pm in reply to: Week 14: A new dawn, a new day…. and I’m feeling gooooood!! #5502772 points to play for from 24 games. Pep’s team can still reach 101 points.
If we’re to go by from last season, in Doc Brown’s terms, it’s going to need a “Bolt Of Lightening” 🙂
There will be points dropped by Liverpool. It’s a question of whether others can capitalize.

Yeah, happy we’re staying and just re-modifying and extending rather than going for the process of a new stadium altogether.
On the subject of HS2, I would be all for it, if it guaranteed to reach me from Leicester to London in less than 2 hours 🙂

Pep started this mate, don’t blame me lol 😛 😀
100 points I believe is the threshold or the barometer – we got a long way to go before we’ve fully rid of the T-1000 hahaha 😀

I wouldn’t have said this even if we were 30 games in. Look at for example yesterday’s uncharacteristic result at the Bridge?
Sterling yesterday breaks the deadlock and you’d expect City to be 2 up by half-time?
I think it’s dangerous from a Media POV to be swayed into their tide. Let’s say Liverpool drop points by drawing 2 matches in succession, they immediately switch their thinking to “now in doubt” or put others in doubt from “done and dusted”.
It’ll be those same people who’d have told you drinking one glass of Wine is good for your heart too it being bad for you the day after.

Brian, I Wholeheartedly Appreciate Your Kind Words.
However, there clearly are Teams we can’t fully be sure of in what they’ll ultimately raise.
The reasoning perhaps to put forward quite frankly is that we have no been Winners.
In this climate, I don’t really see 10 or 11 points as any Shield. 2 Games lost or 2 games drawn…….. The Media Prints and every other soul washes their hands .
I’m not taking anything for granted, above all.

30th November 2019 at 9:16 pm in reply to: Week 14: A new dawn, a new day…. and I’m feeling gooooood!! #54990This just shows there genuinely are no easy games. Brighton could have snatched a late 2-2. You have to be able to play to the Last Whistle. Maybe that in itself is ‘the test’.
Now, in the 80s for example when there wasn’t a Back-pass Rule, Liverpool made obvious use of this to their Advantage to and run down the clock.
The point being that even 3 minutes, 2 minutes, 1 minute AGAINST the RATE of Intensity CAN change the course of the game.

Nine, sorry to bother you mate on here, but just discovered on another thread re Fabinho that Mikus is showing as ‘Blocked’. I hope you can look into this. Thanks.

Jonjo Shelvey of all people! 😀
We were very lucky to get a win their back in April May or something like that last season.
We have to play them at St James’ so we might well get our own rude awakening!

Chucks, my Humble Apologies re the other Thread Mate.
It’s certainly a helping hand today from Newcastle, Brighton gave us a scare though and Adrian I think is just going to find a way to make his own Mistake haha, for the sake of it.
I think Jose and Brendan might have a say – Leicester and Tottenham Away not too far away from the fourth-coming Fixture Calendar.
🙂

Only just sat down for a break. It’s been a mad rush with black Friday weekend.
Hopefully soon I’ll be able to slope off ☕????
Pagan, had flash scores on but was nervous when the score changed to 2-1. How many Saturdays now have we scrapped a 2-1?!??

Pagan, I’d love to have the Radio on mate, but it’s a signal/reception issue.
Yeah, will have to keep my Phone on – it’ll be on full charge 🙂 🙂

Hope to find some comments/feedback a little later on here today as I’ll miss the Liverpool game – on a later shift, but will get to see a bit of the lunchtime game of Newcastle-Man City.
