I’m all for blaming the players and the owners but in the game tonight carrick set the team up to fail. so many people on here said you can’t play rashford and bruno as wingers as they don’t track back and they don’t press. every united fan has seen rashford not do either for united for years, and every time bruno has been deployed on the right its been a total disaster. every single time. so this one is on carrick tonight. absolute total melt who just won’t drop his mates. Scholes said he won’t leave because he’ll be owed a few quid. well, Scholes knows him best. so he’s more interested in lining his pockets than doing the honourable thing and the thing that’s right for the club and just admitting he’s not up to it and walking away. it’s not like he’s short a few quid.
one positive: I saw a few things from Baleba tonight that makes me think he’s got more in his locker than just power and energy. but you’ve can’t leave him out there to dry with shite on either side and shite behind him and expect him to do everything._____________________________

Zirkzee is our most skilled player.

another grotesque ref display. their second goal should have stood for me. and Yoro was never a red. not a chance.

blacky, the RB is also screwed if bruno is playing RW

Dee, the only way I can see us as a fanbase getting through this is with gallows humour.

listened to carragher and neville post match podcast. can’t believe Carra never said anything about how sending off your lad cost them the game. for me I saw 3 performances that I’d be excited about if I was a liverpool fan: Gravenberch was immense, the young lad up front was very good and so was the lad munoz. that ref was bought and paid for. disgraceful.

chances of baleba starting? not high I think. either way, can’t see anything but a win by at least 2 goals by athletico

blacky, I thought the ref was clearly against the scousers today. I said on the liverpool page I thought Gravenberch, munoz, and koumas looked brilliant today. but if you’re going to handicap a team to 10 men then a real football team are going to put you to the sword and so it was

Blacky, you and I are singing from the same hymn sheet there pal. glad you haven’t drunk the Kool-aid a lot of people have. but anyway, back to football…
I actually think Yoro played well yesterday. but wasn’t surprised king Michael subbed him off because he’s good at taking off our effective players. I don’t like all this pretending you’ve been head butted just to get a player sent off. I think that’s not an honourable way to play the game, so wasn’t pleased with what shaw did.
I think you could clearly see the difference in quality and work ethic, which wasn’t a surprise to anyone bar a few like neville. I’m really not a fan of his commentary or post-match analysis. he said he found it difficult to be objective when ole was in charge and so it’s the same all over.
also not starting baleba and shea Lacey, and indeed not even bringing on Lacey when amad was poor was more bad management. after an easy start to the season we are about to play actual football teams where I expect the same midfield 2 as today regardless of what makes sense.

gravenberch, Munoz, and koumas have been brilliant. where did you get koumas from? he looks a real player, made some great runs that haven’t been picked up.

what’s your prediction happy? I genuinely don’t know. I think they are a lot better than us on paper but they are bottom of the league and the table doesn’t lie. unless you are Man City, of course.

MUFC I think both teams will be thinking the same thing: if we can’t beat them we really ARE shit.

being retroactively awarded titles is like scoring a goal and having VAR check it for 20 years. Yeah, in the end you’ve scored it but you’re old and grey now and can’t even remember it all that well.
This will drag out. There is an appeals process, which, if you have money, could be a long road.
My advice is the governing bodies make it known that all delays of justice, past, present, and future, will be factored into the punishment.
I feel sorry for City fans that supported them when they were a yo-yo team from first division to second, who’ve had their hearts ripped out.
If the governing body is pressured by our government to take it easy on City then that’ll be even worse than what has already gone on and proof that nothing even looking like state sponsorship can be allowed to happen. Of course, if that pressure comes down, they won’t force City owners to sell.
I think the larger problem is the FFP rules. You should be allowed to spend whatever you want. Not being allowed to do so was implemented to supposedly protect the football club, but that’s just morphed into what we are seeing now at City. Someone mentioned that there is dirt on other teams. Of that I have no doubt. Not likely our owners but only because they are tight cunts who won’t do whatever it takes to make us a great club. The spending rules need to be done away with entirely.
Last thing on my mind regarding any potential united takeovers. A lot of us on here, including myself, have said that an Arab take over is our only hope. I now disagree. I watch quite a bit of the NBA and a lot of those owners are just billionaires looking to have something shiny to play with. They aren’t primarily motivated by making money. That is my hope now for United. If we go from Glazers to a hedge fund then sure it can be run a lot better and maybe we make our way back to the top because of our revenue, but they could also be looking to squeeze every last drop out of us same as the Glazers.

Anyone watch France v Belgium? that’s the most exciting Belgium have looked in an age, and with much lesser players. And the boy Doue, Jesus Christ, his skill is once in a generation.

I think that’s a fair punishment happy. I was talking to a united is my life nutter today and he was talking about knocking down main road and basically eliminating any proof that Man City ever existed. so there are people out there more mental than you!

told you that Spanish kid cannot finish. I don’t know if he’s still at Barca. certainly shouldn’t be. he’s more united standard.

I think we’ll all be disappointed by the punishment. I still think the right people will get the right sized envelopes and it’ll end up being some enormous fine but that’ll be it. certainly not a drop down to a lower division a la Juventus. I’d even be a little surprised by any points taken off unless it’s some back room agreement late enough into the season providing city aren’t in the title race.
