Chelsea’s earning from the Champions League this season is said to be £72m. that is a boost to the already available war-chest. plus the £32m bonus windfall from the Hazard contract which will be payable, that is already £104m in the bank. plus £88m from Hazard, £48m, £16m for Pallasic, £8m for Luiz, we have £264m without needing to sell anyone. seems the club is in good hands with Marina at the helm.

Willian i guess. Personally i have been his biggest fan and i thank him for his service to the club. Once a blue is always a blue.

Willian will be a fantastic addition to your squad. and while he may not score tones of goals for you guys, he will give you enough creativity experience at the top for 2-3 years if he will be injury-free.

There will be a lot of activities at Chelsea in the coming weeks if the media reports are to be believed.
first of all one paper is reporting that Chelsea will complete the Havertz deal next week, then another is reporting the defense will be strengthened by the addition of Gimenez from Athletico who they say will cost the club £60m, and Reguilon, with £22.5m. that is £2.5m less the £85m that Leicester is demanding for Chilwell.

The reports continue that Chelsea will target a new keeper and a winger. in the case of the winger, the reports say Saed Benrahma from Bretford has been identified as one possible addition. and Brentford is demanding £30m for him. another option under consideration was said to be Zaha and Palace is said to be demanding similar amount. personally I would go for Zaha as he will bring a PL experience which will be crucial.

As for the keeper, many potential options are identified, one option is the AJax keeper who is obtainable, another is Oblak who will cost an arm and leg, plus Nick Pope who Burnley will demand £50m. plus an outside chance of persuading United to sell us to Henderson. of all the options I would say the Ajax keeper is the best fit for the club.

Will be an interesting few days ahead!

A few papers were reporting today that, the was a significant breakthrough in Chelsea’s pursuit of Ben Chilwell. the were reporting whilst there is no agreement in place at the moment with regard to this transfer. they are reporting that Chelsea has negotiated a transfer fee of £50m. I would still say that is an expensive price. but it could be reasonable considering the press was reporting that Leicester was demanding world record for a defender that will eclipse the £80m they have received from United. and I assume that is in the region of £85m.

Whilst Frank is a huge admirer of him, I have little concerns about his defending ability, but his attacking output is superb. the same can be said about Alonso, isn’t it? I would like our next left-back to be defensively good before attacking. because we have good players in attack now with the addition of Werner and Ziyech on top of Pulisic, CHO, and others, plus Havertz should the deal go over the line. but if Frank wants Chilwell I also want him, I trust Frank.

Chelsea has been linked with Sevilla left-back who happens to be a player from Real Madrid on loan as an alternative to Chilwell who Leicester is demanding a world-record fee for a defender. i think that is a sensible decision. he is similar like Azpi when defending, but he is also got pace and can attack better.

I’m absolutely disappointed that it has ended this way. as far as I’m concerned I have no problem with Mak as a poster and as a person. we always respected each other whilst also defending our colours. and it has always ended well. but it seems something may have gone under his skin. I would have prefered things to be sorted with losing any poster. because we are a small community so we cannot afford to lose valuable posters.

But anyway I also understand the Editor action. Mak gave him no option other than to take action. I also didn’t like the language that Mak has used there. or maybe he was angry and needs a bit of self-reflection, I hope so. but the only thing I would say is, Mak is a passionate guy who would go any length to defend his club, so we need to accept that. but I would also advise Mak to tone down the kind of language he uses, especially when it’s against the forum rules. all of us need to abide by the rules for our good.

And one last, I would like to plead with the Editor to reconsider his earlier decision to ban Mak. and I would also like to plead Young blue to formally apologise to Mak. then we kiss and makeup.

Nothing is confirmed yet, but I was reading today that Chelsea has put up a two-year contract which Wilian has rejected. so I would let him join whoever he wants to join. I doubt he will have the same impact that he had at Chelsea. good luck to him to whoever he joins.

Three years is too much for a player who is on the wrong side of their 30s. and I feel the club has taken the right to decide to not cave in to his demands. yes his current form has been superb and Frank would have liked to keep him, and I would agree to keep him for one or two at the very maximum. but he wanted more than that which the club wasn’t prepared to give.

Looking forward to the younger crop of players who will fill that void. Pulisic, CHO, Ziyech are all decent options to have, plus Werner and Mount who can fill should they be required to do so.

Gabriel dos Santos Magalhães, known as Gabriel, is another alternative that we can sign to strengthen our back. He scored a header against us. That is one quality we didn’t have since Gary Cahill was phased out of the team. He is 1.9m in height very big, I think we need to look at him, as he will be a cheaper opt option than others.

With the state of affairs in our midfield, and the performance we witnessed on Saturday. I would be surprised if this is not press speculation. we can’t sell Kante without getting like for like replacement. and without the deal being north of £100m.

Anyone here thinks that we should go for Samuel Umtiti from Barcelona. big and strong centre back, left-footed, with tones of experience at the top. and at his prime. could be a cheaper option than Jimenez from Athletico and Declan Rice from Hammers.

I was thinking while on earth are we not in for him? he is at least an upgrade we already got, and my compliment well with either Zouma or Rudiger who both are uncomfortable playing in the left centre back. what is your opinion?

Mak is a very nice guy who I enjoy debating with and he is a balanced poster. but on the other hand, he is a passionate Liverpool FC defender and would go for any length possible. although I would have to admit I wasn’t impressed by his last two posts in this thread. but overall he is a tremendous poster to have in this forum and I’m not prepared to lose his quality posts. the only thing I would add is to let this go under the bridge. as for Mak, I understand your passion but try to limit it, one advice is never go to anywhere near your keyboard when you are upset or emotional. because they say you are wrong when you are angry.

You are always welcome to this thread and your wonderful contributions are highly appreciated. feel free to debate mate. let this one go. I will be looking forward to reading your posts.

A bit late to the party, I would like to pass my congratulatory message to Steveo and Arsenal, they had been fantastic and deserved to win or at least have done enough to win. and while I would say Anthony Tyler was terrible, I would also point our terrible performance especially defensively. and I have to say we lost the midfield battle early and that was the turning point. with Arsenal pace on the counter, it was always hard. our only shining light was Pulisic and when he left we missed him.

Frank would have brought Kante on regardless of the cost. at least he would have tightened our midfield and won it back. also, we badly missed Willian as Aubamenyang run riot against James and Zouma. Willian would have forced him back a little bit in that flank by putting pressure on the wing-back.

Anyway, I’m looking forward to next season. this season has been fantastic and with Werner and Ziyech and a left-back and a CB plus keeper, we will be competitive again. Frank has done a marvellous job this season. and I’m happy even though we lost the FA Cup.

Oh, dear! Mak, I’m afraid to say that kind of language is not acceptable. don’t be too emotional, the guy has apologised and many Liverpool fans have accepted and moved on. on the other hand, when you are at the top, you will always get criticism whether justified or not. you need to accommodate the voices of dissent in any debate. I don’t agree with what young blue has posted. but the guy is entitled to express his opinion. isn’t that the beauty of the forum? how boring would this forum be if we all complimented each other!

Time to give it a rest look forward to the FA cup final and then the CL games. Liverpool has been fantastic this season and nobody can deny that they deservedly won the league. and reality is that and no one can change whatever they post. take the apology and move one mate!

Any team who scores three goals in a single game should at least be taking a point at worst-case scenario or winning it normally. but in our case, we walk out from Anfield as losers and let down by our not for good defence and keeper. this is a warning to the club that, if we want to stay on Liverpool’s toes, we need a new keeper, two proven Centre backs and a Left back. None of our current crop of centre backs covers themselves in glory this game or in the whole season. I’m still in disbelief as to how a team who have conceded 54 goals and counting is still in the top four? that shows the good work that Frank and our attackers have done in keeping our head above water. and if we get that CL spot, which is still in our hands we need to get rid of many players including Jorginho, Christensen and co.

The bright side is both of our strikers have scored which will be good for their confidence, and our best player had a goal and an assist to his name. that is the positives. our midfield has been non-existent tonight, and it has been like that against Sheffield also. but the difference tonight was our attack was lively.

Let us hope we beat Wolves and either United or Leicester win also. or even a draw will be fine. but our defence was a cause for concern while our attack was a cause for optimism tonight. it shows the good and the bad side of this Chelsea. and thankfully we still have fate in our hands.

Congratulations to Liverpool for the title win once again. and you had been fantastic not only tonight but throughout the season.

Personally, I would keep Alonso as he has plenty to offer as a wing-back. instead, I would sell Emerson Palmieri. I would also keep Zouma and sell Christensen, and sent Tomori on loan to a PL team for him to gain the much-needed game time. that is if we can sign a centre back though! if not I would keep Tomori.

As for us going to Anfield with the hope of getting a result, I had that belief because Liverpool is not a dirty team, and they will not sit and go for the draw. Klopp will go for the win, and I assume likewise Frank will go for the win as that will assure us CL football next season.

Now after our heroic performance at Wembley, Frank faces a new dilemma. does he keep the energetic Mount in the starting line up or does he recall Pulisic who has a goal threat? on one hand, Mount will offer pressing and energy but his goal threat is minimal although he has scored at Wembley. and that will make us outnumber Liverpool or match them in the middle of the park. but again we need a positive result to all but guarantee our CL participation.

And on the other hand, Pulisic offers goals and assists and has that fantastic chemistry with Giroud. but the drawback from this system is that we will look shot in the middle whereas Mount would drop into the middle when he feels we are outnumbered, Pulisic won’t as he is a winger and not a central midfielder like Mount. and Frank is mindful the disadvantage of going toe to toe with Liverpool at a time when we are in a precarious position. we need to attack Liverpool but most of all stay solid defensively. an ad that is where the challenge is coming from. the only area open to change is the Mount and Pulisic area. and my heart says Pulisic but my mind says, Mount. only time will tell. but the most important part is that we still have our destiny in our own hands.
