England to win 3-1, with a Rashford hatrick. De Gea and Rashford swapping shirts at the end hysterically laughing.

I will give up watching football. I will never follow my football club whilst they are being used as a diversion tactic for a murderous, human rights abusing regime.

Watch childish gambino this is america and what his message is in the music video is on par with what these wealthy consortiums are trying to do. It is a distraction tactic for them to continue to do what they do. Killing innocent people in Yemen, kill innocent protestors, human right activists, journalists who speak out and so on.

Have a look at my posting history compared to others and then tell me who has a regular swipe at their rivals. I say things tongue in cheek like Jim said ‘keep Mourinho’ on one of the match day threads or a few others who have veiled digs towards United. I never see them getting pulled up on it.

Saying Pep was the first English league title manager not to play a academy player for a full 90 minutes is not a swipe, it is fact. When others have a little joke about United on a regular basis in regards to their current situation, I don’t go around telling them to stop or it is bad for the forum.

The double standards from some is showing on here.

Jim, AS Sport tweeted their article at half 6 in the evening, I created the David Silva thread at 8.55 in the morning on the same day. How is that me planning to deliberate precursor to the bait?

I went on Twitter yesterday evening and bumped across this article. If the article did not have direct quotes from Khaldoon Al Mubarak, then I wouldn’t have posted it on here. It is a crazy offer if true. It is not a cheap shot at City.

Yesterday I created a thread about David Silva and questioned why the little genius did not recieve any accolades. I even praised that City side last season on a different thread. If that is me winding City fans up then I am doing a shit job at it. You’re just winding yourselves up. It is like you and one or 2 of your fans can have their petty little digs towards United, but if I mention City in any way, it is wrong.

I believe thats why United came first, it is due to what they did in other competitions playing against some top teams and players. They also had 7 academy players in their squad.

City set records last season and rightfully should be praised for it, but there was one record that gets overshadowed. Pep is the first manager to win the league in English football without giving a academy player a full 90 minutes game in a league game. I guess some things can made to look easy if you spend half a billion in 2 years 😉

“We asked [Pep] Guardiola to talk to him. We offered him triple the salary he has at Barcelona, but he never accepted it,” said Khaldoon al Mubarak, the president of the reinging Premier League champions, referring to an objective in 2016.

                    Cheers Mav.

In my opinion, I doubt anyone knows what footballers earn with the exception of the footballers themselves and their close circle of associates.

IMO he said it because there is a chance Jose could be managing Real Madrid next season. Hazards best goals return came under Jose, so he cannot be that bad, although that is likely going to be beaten this season.

It makes me think the player Hazard could have become if he played under managers like Klopp, Pep or Sarri(sooner). We are witnessing what he is capable of under Sarri.

Sam Lee, the source Jim used said that Khaldoon Al Mubarak was asked which player have you tried so hard to sign but did not get and Al Mubarak replied Messi. Whether the triple the wages part if true, I dont know. I have not seen the clip and it is in Arabic. AS used a direct quote, so depending on who you believe will be subjective.

Also even if he was asked which player would you like to sign and he replied Messi. Does not mean he did not try and sign him. This is City we are talking about here. They tried signing Kaka for £100m in 2009 and offered him half a million a week according to reports. So the likely chance of them going for Messi is high especially with the ex Barcelona people in charge today.

Understand why people would say City, their achievements last season was remarkable.

IMO 99 was special and a fair few neutrals believe the same. Unlike last season where City ran with it, in 99 it was a 3 horse title race with Arsenal and Chelsea, along with United potentially winning it with a few games to go.

United won the FA Cup beating Liverpool, Chelsea, Newcastle and Arsenal. Playing PL teams in all but 1 round. In the CL they had Bayern and Barcelona in their group, then went on to beat Inter and Juventus to the reach the final, where they beat Bayern. They came across players like Zidane, Rivaldo, Figo, Del Piero, Inzaghi, Brazilian Ronaldo, Matthaus that season in that competition. Played the final without their 2 key central midfielders. Along with having 7 academy players in the squad. They won the 3 biggest trophies you can win in England coming across the above.

Overall United lost less games in all competitions in 99 than City did last season and Arsenal did in 2004.

That was Englands best side in decades and it was ruined by a incompetent manager who just wanted to make Gerrard and Lampard work. It probably would have worked if there was some balance in there. Rather than pick a 11 for a good system, they just picked the best 11. If England had Xavi, Iniesta, Busquet, Fabregas, Alonso as midield options, Sven would have tried to play most of them in his starting 11. We had Gerrard, Lampard, Scholes, Hargreaves and all 4 were playing in the side, when it should have been 3 at most. Scholes got shoved outwide, Hargreaves played various positions and Gerrard played in various different positions. Yet he stuck with 4-4-2.

                              Rooney/Owen

                              Rather we had

                              Neville Rio Terry Cole

                              Hargreaves Gerrard Lampard Scholes

                              Owen Rooney

Just no balance at all. Reason why there wasn’t any cohesion.

                                According to Sam Lee

Khaldoon Al Mubarak did say that Messi is a player that City tried to sign but couldn’t

Nothing to do with who he wants to sign rather than who he tried to sign. Like I said I am just going by what AS Sport mentioned and it was a direct quote from Khaldoon Al Mubarak.

                                Isn’t Messi on about 660k a week.

If it isn’t true, then it is fairly easy for papers to guess what players earn or make things up.

Jim, what was his performances for Belgium like? He turned up against the lesser teams and when the pressure was on did not turn up. He failed to score in the knockout stages and only scored against Panama and Tunisia.

I like him, but I don’t think he is good enough for a top team. His first touch is appalling and he is not a Jose style of striker, Jose likes his strikers to keep hold of the ball i.e. Benzema, Drogba, Milito, Costa. Lukaku is terrible at that.

That’s true. IMO it is down to how quickly they adjust to their new home stadium. They had similar problems at Wembley, West Ham with their stadium and Arsenal at the Emirates.

Liverpool have done well so far. Reckon once things get going for them they will be up there along with Chelsea and City imo. They had a slow start last season too, but this time round they are winning games when not playing well. Whilst last season they had a lot of draws and a loss under their belt.

I have read that Paxton. I agree it does not make Ronaldo look good, Ronaldos representatives have come out and said the document in question has been doctored.

The reason why I have this theory is because the mirror ran a story 8 years ago saying this was the woman who is Ronaldos son, it is the same picture that news outlets are using today of the woman accusing Ronaldo of rape. Mirror are far from reliable, so it could be far fetched.
