What about, when a player fouls player then needs to go off field for the injury to be treated….this in my eyes “gifts” the offending team an extra player, so, my thought would be the offending player has to go off the field for same length of time Keeps game fair and even

Chuky you are near the mark…I think computer virus will become big and the Apple/Microsoft may not be able to handle it. Conspiracy….I do not know but it is “fishy”

With the death toll still rising and appears no end in sight, only speculation I find it illogical to be concerned about footballers and football clubs. There are good well run business’s closing with non supportive Banks not helping the cause. My view is, if some clubs go out of business it will happen, mostly because they have relied on outside source backing from sponsors, TV and by own Board who do not or want to invest any further capital in there club, so, my view is there will be more than a few clubs go out of business, leagues will have to be re shaped and costly transfers exiled. Football, as we known it, will change because they will not have the option of doing anything else. It would not surprise me to see at least 20 clubs go from the top two divisions and man many more from the lower divisions. A bleak picture…yes but the priority for the country now is to halt the situation we are in, more money is needed for research, NHS from line. I also watch in amazement as we see emergency hospitals being prepared to take the forthcoming “second wave” and we talk about when the season will start!!!! This is far from being over, there is no magic “off” switch It no longer matters to me what clubs do, players and managers say because in my eyes they are not the issue, solving the problem is and we are a long way short of that, in saying that, this is not just a UK problem but a global one.. I also feel people should be more understanding about the people in Government who I believe are doing there best, those that readily critics them do not offer a solution or if they do one without fact supported evidence. Just let them get on with it, when it is over, then will be the time for a post mortem My apologies for the downbeat tone, one of those days grumpy oldies get

Just a little off subject…why are we giving huge loans to airlines when they are telling us not to go to other countries? Better spent on Companies that will make us more self sufficient

If they were clear it would have been picked up much sooner and since a definitive solution had not been found then there is a problem with interpretation of the rules. maybe good for some and not others. I would argue the same way for any club Nine not just City in this situation

Mak…no matter where you look in life there are always going to be differences in wealth. It has been like that since the year Dot and will continue as long as we are alive. I am not saying it is right but there have been wars and revolutions in the past to try and equate it..all failed Years ago it was other teams that had more money than the rest, resulting in the game now is even more out of the hands of clubs, some still run up debt but saying they can service the debt and make dividends, I know when I ran my business the Banks would never let that happen to me. Servicing a debt was considered a risk not a virtue. You can always put an argument against City but it will open a can of worms for others also IF City are found guilty, so be it, take the punishment and move on If they are cleared, sue UEFA for costs, that has to be fair If rules are to set then I would have no problem in clear accounting rules, these are not transparent to day or have been for some time.
Sorry , gone off the theme of this thread

Chuky, I guess most fans would want that. It probably will not happen but I remember when it was a more evenly structured game, in saying that, there was always a few teams that had more money than others. Just after WW2 it was Sunderland, Newcastle, Arsenal splashing the cash. What goes round will come round, as the saying goes, I do fear for the game, the powers that be will see this as a good time to introduce whatever they want

My guess is, now that we are in very uncertain times this will change the face of transfers and expectations, for a time at least. Any player thinking of moving has more to consider now than just winning trophies , however, I see Agenys pushing like crazy because they see a loss of income situation and we cannot have the poor Agents suffering can we!! They increase the cost of football on universal basis…get rid of them or at lease curtail there inflated commissions

Pagan…that should work. Some need there minds to focus instead of buying fast cars and partying all the time. Clubs and players should think of how they can improve fans experience

As a PS, years ago, when the BBC served ALL the people better than it does now football was on TV free. As much as I like football I think it is now a bore having so many matches on and many poor entertainment. I turn sound down when pundits appear.

I think TV and its grossly over paid pundits need to take pain like all others Steel workers, car industry, textiles transport shops etc etc and stop bleating
We can actually live without them When it comes to real life issues like we are experiencing there ONLY concern, as with the Football hierarchy is how much money they are losing and quick we can get it back They appear to me as if they are the only ones with an important problem, football at the current level of dependance on TV support is no longer important and people will remember this years after it is over. I know some live and die by it but I suggest the outcome will changed. This is another reason why the longer that failed responsibility and decision making will change the game and from this point, it will be a case of patchwork rules, change of status of every competition, which may not be a bad thing in some circumstances, but my hope is for a complete change of management of the game. This will not happen but I do see TV and sponsors shaping the game more. This is a golden opportunity for them. Just my opinion

Folks, we know NOW that the season cannot end by April, June, likely July and August as well. We are making 1000s of beds ready for the coming hit so why , please tell me, do the football management think it will not happen and they can go on there own sweet way They just cannot bring themselves to make a decision, get it done, live with it and move on and hopefully we can get back to normal in 6 months, that is what they say now, I still think it will be 12 months , if we are lucky

I still think too many, including the football hierarchy think this is going to pass in a couple of weeks I have doubts if season will start in September. This is not the case of switching off a tap, when it does reduce by a significant amount, there is still work and caution to be applied. At the moment nobody can predict when it is going to peak. Italy thought they had reached it,,,then…… Wuhan said to be getting back but still reports of new cases
