For the Spuds, bigger issue is keeping those we want to keep, but assuming they all stay, I still fancy a top draw striker (sell Richy and keep Solenko as back-up) and would be delighted if we got Isak, quite happy with the links to this Xavi Simons fella (replacing Madders, who we would keep as back-up) and a top draw DM… I’d even take the lad from Brentford, who can’t be any worse than Bussima… (no idea what happened to him!)

Then it all depends on who’s going…

Think Liverpool already having a transfer window of their dreams.

Wirtz would be the top choice no 10 for any team so chuffed already over the line.

Assuming we are going to play with a no 9 we need a striker, said it last season this was our no 1 issue in the squad. Alvarez would be my choice as whilst Isak is superb I think the argentine is more suited to our style.

Kerkez just about signed and upgrades the LB spot. For an attacking LB he’s probably the best we could hope for. My only concerns is how we set up with him and attacking full backs on the other side.

If Konate goes we need a dream CB.

So: Wirtz, Alvarez and then Konate to sign and stay. I think that’s reasonable 🤔

But, yeah, Pool are certainly “winning” the transfer window right now… already looking stornger.
