Sean’s attitude to such things is always so refreshing.

It’s a football forum for goodness sake made up for people with allegiances to different club’s we’re always going to see things slightly differently and what would be the point of the forum if we didn’t.

We can all be a bit too sensitive at times me inc but we’re a small community and we can ill afford to lose posters like Chucky hopefully he comes back soon.

Jeez, it’s hard to think back when I started on team talk, it was very early 0000’s maybe 2002 ish. It could have been earlier, when did it start? I used to post every single day and it was my main footy debate site by a mile.

Iv’e been on TT, Footyplace and now Footydebate on and off for a few years.There are so many amazing lads who that have left for one reason or another.To name a few: Sandbagger, Marbella Ron, True footy, Knotter,Metaxa, Stuilse, Taxi, Chris Tatts, Smoggy, Hyle, Fr.Jessop(barking mad) Rob Walton,Brownsville, Old Grendel and many many more who deserve a mention .
It would be a bit special to have them all back for a Saturday/Sunday post match catch up.

I cannot remember but it was a long time ago on TT. I enjoy the post and on occassions when it gets a little over excited contributors soon calm down. Forums are good as long as they do not get out of control, that is why I left TT and the editor became non existent to stop any nonsense.

Agree Brian the Ed on Teamtalk is really stretched now and finds it difficult to monitor the site/sites and despite his best intentions sometimes it seems a bit like the wild west on there and things get put up which would never have seen the light of the day in the early days of TT.

That’s the beauty of this site I know the Ed is stretched now family wise but it’s his creation and he contributes regularly and secondly although things go aray occasionally on here broadly speaking it’s a smaller congregation of more responsible posters so there are less problems.

Thoroughly enjoy reading your posts and thoughts Brian you’re a 100% gent.

Thanks Nine, I am far from perfect but I do like to be pragmatic about many of the topics, keeps my feet on the ground. That is why I say City have not won anything this season, 2 pts now is nothing with such a long season. Last season was exactly that now….. history

Started on TT about 10 years ago, loved engaging with like minded people to talk about the games. I may have got a bit excitable at times during games as it’s usually stupid o’clock over here when the games are on and I’m watching them on my own so I used to vent a lot.
Stopped posting on TT as there were quite a few that would twist everything you say in a debate, then some would start childish name calling etc. I get it’s only a forum but to me it’s like being a telephone tough guy because you know you’ll likely never have to face the person your having a chop at. It frustrates the s*** outa me.
I love the banter & chatting with like minded people and have often changed my views after reading some good points put forward but that’s becoming second to bull*** these days so I don’t post too much any more.
Oh and Brian, c$ty are going to win the EPL with games to spare mate :>))

I can’t believe that I’m the oldest TT poster. I started posting there (I think) in 99. I was introduced to it by a friend in college (attended from 98-2000), so it’s in there somewhere.

I’m have an absolutely terrible memory, so I’m not able to remember who I enjoyed reading/exchanging posts with. names that come to mind are Molby and Paxman. Max is also familiar but I’ve no idea from when..

I would have bet that you were posting around that time Nine but I guess I’m wrong. I don’t remember what my username was back in the day. I used the name Ince around that time for ICQ but Im not sure if I used it on TT…

Oz, TT has gone to total shit alright. I’d stop posting there entirely only I’m a glutten for punishment.

2 names come to mind. I’m really glad they aren’t here but for these reasons or others, TT has been losing the good posters. I know that Taxi stopped posting there because of the BS along with others like Ian. It’s a shame they aren’t around here.

Mak, Taxi has posted here a number of times as Careworkerlfc but he’s not been on for a while. Always enjoyed reading his posts. He reminds me a bit of Brian in the sense that he just posts his honest views, never with any hint of a dig at another side. No tribalism. Just good, honest opinions on all things football.

I think he started to burn out back when Nil got himself banned from TT. That whole train was on and off the tracks for a long time. You know yourself. I miss his avatar from TT! 🙂 Nah he was a very good poster too of course. Hopefully in time he’ll get back to us.

Glad to see you stayed on here, after leaving TT Aussie. Another great poster who it would just be a huge shame to lose because of some tosspots.
