Morocco exposed what we all knew about that Brazil midfield.. Guimaraes and Casemiro cannot work in a midfield 2 and Ancelotti should scrap the idea of playing them in 442. Also choosing and bringing on Fabinho was just pure comedy.
But Morocco are a proper team and like i highlighted before the match the way that Bouaddi Lad plays you wouldn’t note he is 18.

Listen boys let’s calm down a bit with this A Bouaddi talk. Yes he had a very good game and looked comfortable, composed etc on the ball but let’s have some perspective the first half Brazil’s midfield was none existent, the second half it wasn’t much better. There was one part where that Bouaddi applauded a pass into him from the defender before taking the ball on the turn with no one near him for 10 yards. It’s easy to look great when you’ve time and space. The premier league is a different beast. He had a goood game but let’s not get too carried away

@Diggy no one is getting carried away about the lad and neither am i advocating to sign but he has been in d lille first team since 2023 for a reason. Also in the first half when Brazil moved their press into the Moroccan half he kept his composure just as the whole Moroccan team did.

Maverick, I’ll hold my hands up and admit that I’ve not seen him play for Lille. I was merely basing it on that looking good in a game where the pace was slow and had enough time to applaud a pass before receiving it. That I thought people were getting tad overboard. That 18 year old from Morocco is probably one of the best prospects at the World Cup, they are the current AFCON champions and despite their dirty tactics it´s a hard tournament to win. They are a top ten international side in the world. 18 year as a starter is pretty unheard of at that level. The kid seems smart as well and it must have been a big decision to say no to France.

Yeah but Deschamps is retiring at the end of this world cup, Zidane is taking over. Could prove to be an incredibly stupid decision from a football perspective given he’ll be 22 at the next World Cup and could conceivably have at least 3 more world cups after that.
