Being honest, anybody who lived through through the Premier League era of Keane, Viera, Gerrard, Lampard, Essien etc. Not heard one say that players like rice are near their level.

Anderson and Rice are the same profile both hard working, running and physical players with the ability to make a good pass once in a while and that’s it.
Bellingham what a player … no doubt he has solidified that No.10 now also for Madrid and i bet Mourinho will utilize him properly because he embodies what Mourinho absolutely loves in a player.

It’s another conversation to open on the back of those examples of names plucked out. They were individuals in the 90s that were invested in.
30 years ago how many more English players did we see in the Prem?
This feels more like a last-chance saloon of this generation. Sure, another Harry Kane or a Declan Rise is out there. But will he be snapped and invested in.
Rightly or wrongly, these players, the Manager and everything else is criticised. Some may argue we’re currently more at the World Stage than others credit us for; even with these so called mediocre players.

deeUtd – Not sure if Mourinho is a right fit for Bellingham. Jude as a 10 is perfect, doesn’t have to worry too much about his defensive responsibilities. Knowing Jose he’ll try having him playing the Makelele role and wreck his game. I can see a clash between them both.

Do you know it was just the Argentina game where we fell short. We allowed ourselves to get caught up in all the histrionics. Kane was either instructed or took it upon himself to support deep to try and eliminate all the bad stuff going on and keep the ship steady. It just wasn’t enough.
I think Tuchel was hired to build this into the players. I think Bellingham for all his technical ability and mental strength can equally get drawn into unnecessary exchanges. It is a damn if you do and damn if you don’t in standing up to the opposition who have it in for you from the start.
What happens in the near future to be able to take what we have built under Tuchel to strengthen?

@MUFC Jose still retains some those characteristics that made him a world class Manager but over time his teams have evolved such as his stint at Roma and Benfica. Also people fail to admit that Jose’s teams have always scored buckets of goals at whichever club he managed.
@Adiddas you are correct because that’s one aspect Tuchel also failed to keep the Argentine center backs busy as Kane was non-existent up top. But it was his long ball over the top that did lead to the goal so him dropping deep does have certain advantages.

Yeah, True Deeunited.
We had an outlet in Gordon which is what we needed if there was some sort of alternating going on. It was all the usual intimidating and disruption that skewed our focus and concentration.
There’s a crop and a fulcrum I can definitely see on the evidence of this tournament and last night’s game. A learning curve for sure. I wonder if the Manager will have the backing beyond his players.

I think the biggest problem as always is the pundits and all the extra pressure invited by them, we got a generation of players on TV now calling out this team for their efforts. Honestly I can´t remember any other team getting a medal from the World Cup, we even got idiots having a go at Jordan Henderson for delivering a speech before the game. The speech works but he is still ridiculed for it. I think it´s jealousy actually because every last idiot pundit having a go at them is jealous and somehow thinks they would have done better despite having proven the opposite in the past.
