Sean, yes, Ekitike and Szobo’s hair competitions are really getting on my tits. Top of the league, playing well? Absolutely. Looking like a complete twat whilst losing at Wolves? I don’t think so.

4th March 2026 at 2:53 pm #240696Grav has been over played and the tactics are killing him. He has gone under the radar cause whole team has been poor.
We have no midfield. Calling for a robust 6 a long time now. Someone who has legs and can pass. Who can win battles and duels and who is up for a fight
We need three wide forwards if mo leaves. We need a cb if konate leaves.
We have two injured forward players. We have no wide forwards only a 17 year old
I thought eitike for 80m might have been bought to play from the left as watching him play before he drifts out there constantly.that was wrong we need pace out wide. Szobo as good as he has been slows the game down which I think is by instruction Macca takes an extra tough to many. Its a fucking mess and manager is amassive problem.
We paid 205 m in two forwards in isak and eitike surely there was thought they can play together ???
Does isak even suits us? He thrives on speed from rhe wings and crosses and service and we have none of it
We have 3 players on the bench we never use in ramsey, morrison and nyoni
We are missing 2 forwards yet we have no real options. Squad is far to thin

4th March 2026 at 3:05 pm #240700I donΒ΄t wanna correct you on anything except Diaz and Rio, Slot did not want Diaz gone. He just failed to convince him to stay and management decided to cash in on a very undervalued player. Rio promises came earlier to that and Slot has hardly been able to keep those. Salah spent 6 games or something at the AFCONS and scored 4 goals. Rio could have started a game or two there, Gakpo has been terrible for 3 months at least and Rio should have started a game or two instead of him. When our whole frontline is underperforming what is the harm in starting the kid? Is the confidence from performing gonna effect him or what? Or the reality of how he needs to bulk up and become stronger physically gonna hurt him?
Slot also failed to convince Elliott that he had a future here and we know he could have been of use this season, that is a lad that could have had a few games in midfield, a few games on the right and a few games on the left. He has often popped up with a moment or two for us in the past and we loan him out to a rival and help them get stronger than us. I still donΒ΄t know why the club decided to loan him out, he just won player of a tournament in the summer with the under England team.

4th March 2026 at 3:21 pm #240702Sean we have only had what two games or something where Isak and Ekitike have been fit to play with each other, it kind a looked like a 424 in possession but we need something different outwide than two wingers that almost always cut inside to make that function. I can forgive Salah for doing that as he has proven he is capable of delivering from doing what ever he wants to do but in theory we need two wide players that can get to the byline consistently to have 3 or 4 players attacking the box and exploiting that extra space.
I would not wanna deal with a good cross coming into the box if I had to deal with both Ekitike and Isak there, especially with a capable winger like Salah or Rio attacking the other end of the box, then Macca or Wirtz coming into the box with a run from deep.
I think itΒ΄s more likely we will keep playing with a front three, with Ekitike on the left, Isak up top and then Salah on the right with hopefully Rio taking over from Gakpo. With a midfield of three and Wirtz leading the ball carrying from there. We donΒ΄t have the complementary midfielders with him, he needs someone more industrial behind him, two defensive midfielder that will eat every 2nd ball. Gravy does not wanna play defense, I even feel like Jones is more willing to play defense than Gravy. Mac Alister also wants to go forward, so does Szoboszlai even if he is prepared to do the dirty work. It just does not suit their style.
I really want Dom to grow out of the showboating but he is relentless in that department. I donΒ΄t know what is up with the new hairstyle, I hope he lost a bet and was forced into it.

4th March 2026 at 3:46 pm #240705Having two inverting wingers isn’t working this season as both Gakpo and Salah always cut in as they can’t and never will cross with their left and right respectively. Funnels our attacks making it even easier for low block teams to stay compact. Add the fact that Ekitike doesn’t bully or run in behind that often which results in a very predictable and stagnated attacking game.
Last night simply was one of the worst results I’ve seen. Wolves FFS. 2 wins in 29 games.

4th March 2026 at 4:29 pm #240706Rob, @2:32, Well Put Together.
This very much encapsulates the story of our season and an illustration of what just many things that have gone wrong or have been of a misfortune; some of it too from our own doing.
Jota, a one off Tragedy God Rest His Soul, but for all the years, I’ve followed the game, I have never experienced such thing. It’s different to when a player leaves the club because, you can still keep in regular contact. I’m assuming there has to have been for the Team, a Counselling Support exclusive from the Club.
It’s transition. I noticed Rob (probably something and nothing), during the warm up and kick about, I just got the impression of Salah not really mixing in with the rest of the other Team-mates.
One of the more notable observations is that individual players during game time at times are in isolation and perhaps finding themselves taking on too much than they should ala the examples of Grav and Macca.
We miss what I feel is a vital additional layer of the first team and that’s the squad. We can’t bring on a Milner, Thiago or even a Naby Keita to take the pressure Grav. He’s played lots and lots minutes consistently and he needs at times resting.
We haven’t had the full benefits of players being able to properly bed in and gain experience of this being a more newer set up. I do believe with a new Appointment and Coaching Team next season, we’ll be a lot more Readier and more Functional than we’ve otherwise been a shortage of for one reason or another.

4th March 2026 at 4:40 pm #240707Good post Nil, except the Keita bit! Lol.
We do miss the ‘glue players’ (Milner, Henderson) but the players should be able to take it up on themselves to ensure continuity in the leadership dept and currently we are not seeing that. Not enough ‘captains’ out there. You’re right about Salah too. Said it more than once. It’s Liverpool FC starting 10 and then Salah. He seems to be on his own island more-so since his childish outburst. You keep your fuckin mouth shut and deal with it behind closed doors which, tho, as a club, we don’t seem very good at with many others such as Slot, Virgil, Robbo, Mo et al not understanding the words ‘discretion’, ‘tact’ and ‘verbosity’ – we know what’s wrong, that’s what the ‘gated’ AXA Training Centre is for, dealing with this internally – ‘work hard in silence and let success be your noise’ should be the mantra but clearly isn’t.

4th March 2026 at 5:11 pm #240713Sean, I would fuck Gakpo off from his outside role and rotate him with Ekitike.
Give Rio the 7 role permanently until the end of season. Don’t give a shit about the fact that he’s 17. Michael Owen was the same age. Throw him in.
Rio Ngumoha leads the Premier League for chances created per 90 (6.1) among players with 3+ appearances this season – despite playing just 103 minutes for Liverpool.

4th March 2026 at 5:31 pm #240715We should be using if anything the full-backs that have in the past made the effort to push up. Better examples on Bradley and Robertson. I am half-half with Frimpong.
But yeah: With a 4-2-3-1 as opposed to 4-3-3, it helps pull apart any block of defenders shielding their 6 yard area. Diaz and Mane in the past did well as with Trent on the opposite flank.

4th March 2026 at 5:35 pm #240716So it’s favours galore that we are going to be counting on tonight. A Chelsea win will take us down to 6.
Draw with Villa at Villa would probably be a better result all round. Newcastle have only registered 1 win in 6 and United have won 5 of their last 6, so that doesn’t look to hopeful for us, but a Magpie victory tonight would definitely soften the blow from last night.

4th March 2026 at 7:25 pm #240725Looks a very similar United line up to Sunday with Sesko starting again and Bruno playing in that role behind him.
4-3-3 with Newcastle; The Crowd have gotta TURN UP THE VOLUME!!!

4th March 2026 at 8:23 pm #240727Hoping the Villa game stays 1-1 but does it matter with us doing what we did last night? Not a great result for either team but a point better off than us today.
Again, it will be 50/50 as to whether we will get CL meaning our results coupled equally with others cocking it up. We won’t get there purely on our performances and results.
