I don’t like the wrestling that goes on these days during Corners. Teams lean on this dimension more greatly than before to essentially generate goals.
It’s not so much the wresting part, but when an opposing player snide tactics like obstructing the goalkeeper deliberately, grabbing hold of a player or shirt-pulling. VAR have the capability to clamp down on this, so they should start doing so.

3rd March 2026 at 6:28 pm #240564It’s a bit of bad luck that the Wolves game(s) comes along at a time when Wolves are playing the best they’ve played all season and, if this form had been present all season, then I’d guess that they wouldn’t be in such a dire situation. I think that Rob Edwards is a good Manager and that he over-achieved with Luton to get them reasonably competitive in the PL when the whole infrastructure of the club was 2 leagues below where he’d got them to. Stating the bleeding obvious of course, but we should still have enough to take the points, but we’ve come unstuck several times already this season with that premise. Somebody (Ginger??) made the good point that they may have more to play for on Friday than tonight – however, I still think they’ll be a handful. We could do with a good performance to maybe get inside Mane’s head for the summer transfer window.

3rd March 2026 at 6:37 pm #240565Backing Salah to score tonight. Just two PL goals in 5 months and none in his last 10 games. Ouch.

3rd March 2026 at 7:18 pm #240571They’ve lined up as 5 midfield, but we can counter-that instantly if both Gakpo and Salah drop deep in line with the other 3. It’s vital they contribute in that part of the pitch just as much as we would expect them to at the other end.
We’ll get the breaks for sure releasing Ekitike.

3rd March 2026 at 7:22 pm #240572That 5 will basically turn into a 541 for much of the game with Moller Wolfe and Tchatchoua flanking the back 3. Buckle up lads, this might not be pretty. Working this afternoon but thankful it’s on the regular network over here so recording it.
