Mauricio Pochettino tells Ed Woodward transfer targets
Manchester United have held talks with Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino over taking over from Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in the summer.And the current Tottenham manager has told Ed Woodward one player he wants to sign in the summer.
CaughtOffside claim Leicester midfielder James Maddison is the man Pochettino wants to bring in at Old Trafford.
Pochettino is United’s first-choice to take charge permanently following the sacking of Jose Mourinho.

Still think (hope) Poncho will stay for at least one complete season in the new gaff… be a shame for him, considering the efforts he’s put in towards it, if he only gets a couple of home games before leaving… and when he does leave, still think he’ll go to Madrid first… he may end up at YooUtd one day but if he goes “directly” he’ll be remembered as Judas II… pure and simple.
He’s only 46, a puppy in manager years, plenty of time to top up his pension pot…

I’ve always been impressed with Wilson but as you say playing for Chelsea week in week out is different to playing for Bournemouth week in week out.
But currently it’s all just speculation.

£19m is peanuts Sean in today’s market and he has potential and Liverpool have probably made a circa 100% profit on him.
Liverpool were the wrong move for the lad he needed to sign for a team like Bournemouth or Southampton to ensure regular game time in order to develop.
He went from the firing pan to the fire by leaving Chelsea to join Liverpool when he needed starts and I could never understand his thinking on that.
But not forgetting Defoe is going to Rangers so Solanke could just be to replace him.

It’s Michael Edwards who does our negotiating. The man is as much of a genius as Klopp is. Having said that though, I would have preferred to hang onto him. Nine, he was given loads of chances as Sean said. I’m at odds with almost everyone in saying that i think he was close to coming good for us at the end of last season. I think the money is good but also that he’ll be worth a lot more later on.
I’m not complaining though, we made a big profit.
Sean, if Klopp were to leave tomorrow, it all still matters. we’re a “top” club again with a great team and more and more money coming in. We’ve some more developing to do to catch up with the others but regardless, Klopp has made a lasting difference to our club.
I get what you’re saying though also but don’t worry, we will win something within the next 3 years, 100%.

Sean, Solanke hasn’t played all season. It was the wrong move for him he needed to move towards lower level PL Club and play week in week out.

He hasn’t played all season because he didn’t do enough with the LOAD of chances he got last term. he came here to actually get his chance to play for the first team. This wasn’t going to happen at Chelsea. So in one regard he didn’t make the wrong move, in another though ya, he wasn’t able to up his game enough to remain in the team. Now, this is me talking about how it is but as I said, I don’t agree with Klopp here, I think his last few games of the season were a marked improvement for a player who does a lot right but lacks confidence in front of goal.
He’s going to Bournemouth now after playing enough for Liverpool to warrant a starting palce (once they sell Wilson anyway).

Mak, no matter how you cut it mate it was the wrong move for Solanke he struggled to get any game time at Chelsea with the likes of Costa there and he did little better at Liverpool with the majority of his appearances limited to being from the bench. He should have gone to somewhere like Southampton when he left Chelsea.
I said it was the wrong move at the time and so it proved.
I hope he can rebuild his career and confidence at Bournemouth he looked a bright prospect in the Chelsea Youth team and he could come again at Bournemouth. Good signing for them imo which maybe frees up Wilson? Cheers 999
