Mav, swap Fellini for Rashford and you’re on.š
srd, he can’t do any worse mate at least Chelsea will have someone in the box now vs no one at all and at the very least it restores Hazard to his best position.
999, agreed. And even at a disjointed Milan he averaged about a goal every two games.
Callum Hudson-Odoi has handed in a transfer request. Wants more playing time.
Which translates as his agent wants more money…..Pagan
Hudson Odoi is 18 and is getting playing time he started v Spurs at Wembley I doubt he would have been playing that much more regularly at any of the top 6 Clubs right now. Chelsea have offered him a massive contract for an 18 year old too to demonstrate how highly he’s rated and told him he will be playing regularly.
Sad to see especially as he’s been at the Club since age 8.
I don’t understand how Bayern have been allowed to negotiate with his Brother who is his Agent. But like Pogba when he was originally at United sometimes there’s an impatience in youth.
I think the Club’s plan was to turn all offers down and give him plenty of game time up until the end of the season and hope he would commit to a new contract, he was scheduled to start tomorrow. I guess this changes everything and it’s probably best to reluctantly let him go.
He’s a local boy too born in Wandsworth.
Don’t give a F about Derby or Entirely My Teams Around East Mids – Facking Do My Head In The Lot Of Them, but Lamps Nailed Cole, Well Done.
Wish I Truly Lived Outside The Midlands!!!!!
Nil, this is a transfer window thread? I guess Cole’s a transfer though. Take it easy buddie.

Thanks Nine, Appreciated Mate š š
9, for me the problem lies in the fact that young players want it all and want it now, youād like to think thereās someone in the club that talks to the young players about their career path. CHO is a wide player, in front of him are Pedro and Willian, who are starting to come to towards the end of their careers, surely someoneās talking to him about integrating into the team.
In regards to his agent, unfortunately thatās his job, heās there to get him the ābest dealā and that means talking to other teams.
Itās a sad situation when overseas players want to play in the premier league, and our young ones want to leave…..PaganAll true mate I think we should have probably given him a bit more game time this season but this situation may have emerged anyway allegedly the Club have showed him their commitment to him with an offer of Ā£80k pw which is a lot for an 18 year old and guarantees of game time but to no avail.
I think there have been mistakes on both sides and it would have been nice to see Callum agree to extend his contract by a year to put Chelsea’s promises to the test given they are the Club that have nurtured him since aged 8, and he’s a local boy born in Wandsworth.
Shame to lose him but I think he’s been got at and Bayern have obviously been negotiating with his Agent who is his brother which may not be the best set up for him. But whatever happens I wish him well.
It does leave the Club in a difficult position though because if they let him go now it weakens the squad and it would probably be best to hold on to him until the Summer and get less money but how will Hudson Odoi react to that? Cheers 999
I’m not sure anyone can blame him really. For all the promises Chelsea are giving him, he’ll be looking at the likes of Sancho and Nelson who are thriving in the Bundesliga and clearly thinks it’s a better career path for him. Pogba was proven to have made the right choice for his career looking at where he is now, too. Who is to say whether he would have developed the same way had he stuck it out at Utd. Despite the fact Utd have a history of playing academy players, Pogba could have easily slipped through the net and failed to develop at the same rate without the experience of playing with the likes of Pirlo, Vidal et al on a regular basis. Hudson Odoi will look at Loftus Cheek who stuck it out and is struggling for game time now and probably prefer to back himself to perform at a club who are clearly showing huge intent to make him a big player for them.

All fair points Ed.
I hope somebody is talking sense to Foden and Garcia at City who I see as emerging next season into the squad and having plenty of games. Without doubt, in my opinion, it is money driven and says a lot for the culture of Me to around us now. There will be a few cases of sucess but a lot will find moves not as what they may have thought and when the honeymoon period of say a first season with another club where they do well, then will come the grind of playing consistenly well and sometimes not well managed. A big choice. The flip side could also be that they are not well managed now of course, hence the request. Think twice and act once would be my advise
Not convince Hudson-Odoi is moving for money. Iād be surprised if anyone will better the Ā£80k a week on offer at Chelsea.
He really hasnāt played as much as some are making out.
His issue is that itās probably now or never, as if he signs for another 4-5 years heāll have to wait that long before being back to having 12-18 months left on his contract. In between that time frame he wouldnāt be in a strong position to leave.
