My mam lived in Dublin as I was growing up (divorced in Canada before they came back.. good thing they thought ahead eh! :P). She lived in Coolock for a few years and I’d spend some parts of the summers up there. Tough neighbourhood but loved my time there.

I’m not sure we’re aware of other PL sides existing TBH, although there was a guy right across the hall from me who was a Man City fan.. He did attack someone downstairs with a hammer, so maybe despite the strong Cork accent, he might have actually been from Manchester! 😛 … The guy from downstairs is fine btw and I assume we now have our first City supporting inmate but I didn’t hear anymore about it.

HH, great idea for a thread. I’m just reading through all the stories, as I only posted the last time. Some great stories. Chucky, that one about your relative in the wheelchair was brilliant. I thoguht that they might go easy on someone ina chair and was glad to see that they all had a sense of humour and a bit of hilarious but harmless revenge on him 😛 I’m also glad you had to push him up a hill after 05… TBH you’d have been doing the dame had Dudek not made that freaky insanely strong handed random save at the end, as he’d have been passed out drunk and depressed.. I’ll bet he’d have been heavier!

Nil, everyone gets why we’re so desperate to win the league. It’s been shoved down their throats by Sky and the tabloids for years. If there’s one thing that they are sick of “getting” it’s that Liverpool are desperate to win the league… and also that Liverpool, sorry Liveberoools are the most awesome-est team in the universe.

Only reason I’ve got a bit stroppy on here is cause of interactions on here and nothing to do with any 30 years without…. I mean we’re one of if not the best team in the world right now. Why would anyone even be thinking about this 30 years of failure thing? How many cups did we win in those 30 years? LOADS.
That doesn’t mean that we have to be happy and smiling all the time and accept everything said towards us “cause hey look how good your team is doing!”.. but I couldn’t be happier with how good we are right now. Have a look at the table man: 1) LIBERPOOOLS … and some other teams.

Liberoools will win it when they deserve to win it. Last season was as close as you can get but City being probably the best ever PL side have set the bar to a certain height and if we have to climb over their smouldering corpse to get it this season then we’ll just have to do that then won’t we.
Who knows, those entitled Blue London scumbags might end their long wait, after shaking off their dark horse disguise when they beat City today 😉

Every single person on this forum has said something nice here and there. As for being called silly-willy-nilly all the time sure, I think that could be given a bit of a rest, at least sometimes. it’s too much of a go to in my opinion but you often do draw a reaction with silly comments.
If you weren’t acting in an entitled manner, none of this stuff happens. Just remember that.
Anyway, i thoroughly enjoyed reading this thread. I made quite the few comments and you might wonder why but if I tried to just have a sum-up comment at the end, I’d have missed everything I wanted to respond to. So suck it up boys 😉

999, it was only menacing if you were the opposition,the walk to the ground was always interesting especially through the estate where I’ve seen 60/70 year old mums hurling bottles off the balcony’ at away fans. The pubs were always rammed with Millwall and had a wild west atmosphere the only fans that really wound things up were West Ham.
