Oh man, and here’s me saying timing; forgot about Son! That’s defo not great.
Ok, I have some kind of a theory/blueprint: Let’s say Frank was chosen and he then brings over or is able to attract a current Brentford player…
Equally, the same for Marco; there is pulling power without a doubt if players have had a sound relationship with the manager getting over the ‘stranglehold challenge from the clubs reluctantly putting them in ‘shop window’ to place an inflated fee on them (albeit).
I think Levy would actually look at that positively and something one could overcome.
Something’s definitely going down this Summer 🙂

5th June 2025 at 6:07 am #219556Both of those managers might be able to bring a player or two, but with all due respect, would any of those players be worth getting in the first place? Don’t know either of the teams inside out, admittedly, but I’m not thinking of one who would improve our 1st 11, maybe the bench…
It was injuries and lack of quality in depth which cost us 20 plus points easy last season, regardless of manager, I fully expect us back in the 60 point region next season, quite easily, with 3/4 smart buys over summer and better luck with injuries.

5th June 2025 at 10:50 am #219561Ok, so we’re speaking about individuals joining that can improve and bring something or compliment a full-strength starting line up at the very least. Meumbo one example let’s say, but he’s heading so it seems to Man U.
What about players from Fulham? More to the point, I’m sure both Managers would have networks to lure players. I’d be filled with more confidence Chucks and whatever they inherit they could build from.
I’d be optimistic if either one of them came, Spurs would definitely improve from where they finished last season. The brand of football would exist, but there would be more discipline. Frank edges it for me, Silva is good too though.

6th June 2025 at 4:55 pm #219605Well, he’s certainly leaving a legacy behind…really not too sure how I feel about it…
So, Frank seems to be the “favourite”…really not sure how I feel about that either…

10th June 2025 at 2:20 am #219756Truly baffled by the appointment of Frank. I like him and he’s done a great job at Brentford, but I strongly believe he has reached his ceiling. Similar to Potter.
So, I’m intrigued to know what Levy thinks Frank will do better than Ange? Frank doesn’t have a record of winning silverware, so what is Levy’s aim here? If it is getting top four, then he will have to invest more in the squad as it just ain’t good enough. But then why not do that with Ange?
Ange’s gripe (it seemed) was that he couldn’t fight on two fronts with that squad, so he chose the lowest hanging fruit.
Sacking Ange would make sense if a really top notch manager was being brought in AND Levy was willing to invest in the squad.

10th June 2025 at 7:07 am #219764Hard to argue with any of that, Foxy…
Sideways step at best and does leave questions about Danny-boys ambition.
Of course, we would love it, (I mean we as Spud-lovers!), if Frank turned out to a top-top-draw manager and the limits he reached at Brentford were simply due to the size of his surroundings, i.e. took them as far as he realisticly could….
But somehow how I think we’re looking at a “CL” footy if we’re lucky and decent cup runs each season… won’t be bothering the Top3 for a while…
At the end of the day, not a lot I can do except cheer from my armchair, or those rare occassions I’m under the pier with Buffy.

10th June 2025 at 4:21 pm #219809It’s a good move and right time for Frank. He’s spent Multiple seasons with Brentford and proved beyond just keeping the club up presumably on limited spending.
Of course, the Dial is a lot higher at Spurs, but the expectations will be set and realistically agreed upon of which I believe Frank would be feeling confident, optimistic and ambitious.
He’d bring in more discipline when it comes to improving on defending even though his brand of football is attacking which obviously would suit Spurs.

13th June 2025 at 7:14 am #219990So, the worst kept secret in football is now not a secret…
Still don’t know what to truly think, heart still says Angie deserved a crack at the CL, but my head also says we would be in some serious trouble come November and having this dance then…
Eitherway, what’s done is done, and Angie has his place in the Spuds folklore now…
Let’s see what Frank can do!!

13th June 2025 at 7:19 am #219991Been watching a lot of “Youtube” video’s, many seem to think Frank is quite an adaptable manager, changes formations regulary depending on the opps, gets that extra 10% from average players, know’s how to spot a bargin, excellant coaching his team for the different formations, and very highly thought of within the game.
Must admit, like the idea of having an “adaptable” manager in the dugout for a change, rather than the Conte/Maureen/Angie “my way or the highway” inability to change their “philosophy” approach.
The proof will be in the pudding, I guess!
