Pagan its the awarding of pens based on such black and white rules i don’t like. There is no doubt that the ball accidentally contacting Jesus arm led to goal today as that is what we saw and easy to rule out. But if the exact opposite happened to Jesus in his own box there is no reason to have believed that the accidental hand ball denied a goal scoring opportunity so awarding a penalty seems against the spirit of the game in those circumstances imo.
For penalty calls the law confuses me no doubt but I can accept calls like we saw with Jesus no problem.

You know for all the investment pep has had, and not ignoring the fantastic standards his team have reached, they seem to be no better than his first season right now, maybe a little weaker even to the counter.
Spurs can win the league. Maybe worth lamps bringing jorginho in alongside kante when we play them next week. Let kante track kane’s every movement and allow our defenders to focus on tracking the runs of son and who ever the other winger will be.

Tottenham the dark horses. Those players must feel even taller after tonight and beaming with confidence. Kane’s named MOTM, but other players in that team have made it happen and are key figures; Lloris-Dyer-Alderweireld-Højbjerg, and Son.
Playing on the counter seems to suit them and they’re better in soaking up the pressure.
All the fizz effectively went out in the second half what ever Man City tried. They really need a Prolific Goalscorer and a Main Man.
Pressing continuously taking into account the Internationals is evidently going to catch up with you; this suiting Jose’s tactical plan (no prizes, ha!).
I didn’t see any wrongdoing, so that Man City goal should have stood for me.
Teams are taking points off each other so far that’s notable and you’d see in the current table as opposed to matches being drawn. Better permutation from the course of events making it even more exciting but better still UNPREDICTABLE 😀

Regardless of today, VAR is ruining the game for me and I never thought I would say that. Fingers offside, ball bumping an arm with no deliberate handball etc. Teams are winning (all) by cheating, diving and nonsense decisions from lousy refs. Lets go back to where we were. I was surprised given his performance for England and his goals why Pep didn’t start Foden tonight his confidence must have been really high?
City desperately need Aguero fit and playing and if Aguero was fit enough for the bench today why didn’t Pep bring him on when City needed a goal?

Mav, the penalty call against Man Utd wasn’t given by VAR as it was busy trying to find an offside to ridiculously give. The defender clearly and obviously had his arm around the Chelsea players neck, if the ref missed it then you can’t expect a multimillion pound video review system to spot it….Pagan
