Blaze-Apologies for yesterday mate,was very pissed with the stupid VAR and the people who run it.I know you are a Chelsea fan,I read Chelsea`s TT page very often,but I meant we should all care when injustice is done,right? WBA was cardinally damaged against United,and so was Chelsea a few weeks back.There is nothing I can do about it,but I fooking hate it.

The difference between a 12.30 pm & 5.30 pm kick off may seem small but I would argue it does make a difference to the team, particularly mentally. I don’t care how much the teams and clubs get paid, the players are still human beings and they’re being exploited at the moment. They’ll have one day off after the Wednesday night game, probably training on the Friday, then a trip down to the south coast, then straight into a 12.30 pm kick off. That will take its toll over time. Something I think will have to give at some point, and I would think 5 subs probably will be allowed at some point.

That’s what I was alluding to in one of my replies. The Premier League could have found a way. The 5:30 kick off efectively gives the team a whole day with same day leave. We’re still running high on injuries so I see where Klopp’s coming from.⚽

Pagan, doesn’t make people constantly working 12 hour shifts right either. But with footballers they are still straining themselves more than usual which will undoubtedly lead to more injuries. You can throw all the money in the world at them, still doesn’t make it right.

Mikus, I think the PL do need to agree the 5 subs rule for the rest of the season whether they will or not though is open to conjecture.
Unfortunately the Brighton v Liverpool game was selected for the Saturday lunchtime live game on BT Sport practically speaking moving it to 5:30pm ko on the Saturday doesn’t work because it would conflict with the 5:30pm Sky game between Everton and Leeds.
Same happened to Chelsea playing away to Newcastle at 12:30 on Saturday straight after the international break when the majority of players didn’t return to the Club until Thursday afternoon and some were isolated to Friday due to Covid tests then they had to travel on the Friday ahead of the 12:30pm kick off on the Saturday.
The Club’s take the TV money which is huge in the knowledge of when the televised games are scheduled and at what times and all the Clubs are equally affected throughout the season .
It is what it is but I’m sure Liverpool will be leaving Brighton with 3 points anyway.
The key to lessening the injuries though due to the condensed season lies with getting the 5 subs rule agreed.

The campaign for a 5:30 pm ko on Saturday for the Liverpool v Brighton game is an interesting one putting aside that it won’t happen due to conflict with the Everton v Leeds game that kicks off on Sky at 5:30pm on the same day.
Nobody was canvassing for Chelsea in similar circumstances though over the last couple of weeks.😊
Like it or not we are stuck with the 12:30 pm Saturday games aside from the teams competing in the EL who play on a Thursday night.
