Oz, @ 12:59, mate you’re living proof of LFC having a World Wide Fan base. We have done for decades. You are right about Liverpool being a great city and having a great community. It’s all these silly stereotypes and stigmas attached, but I just ignore all that.
Every geographical area across the country has it’s good and bad points.7th May 2019 at 1:13 pm #40209
Didn’t think it got cold in that part of the world? Anyway, let’s discuss properly after the season’s over before we assert our conclusions.7th May 2019 at 1:19 pm #40210
As a United fan I’m very dissappointed that the club has spend so badly. We have no leaders in our team. And the club have no strategy or real aim. After SAF we’ve hired Moyes, Van Gaal, Mourinho and now OGS. Four managers with different profiles. And they all bought/ are going to buy their own players. It’s like insisting on putting together a jigsaw with pieces you know are not going to fit together. It’s simply bad planning, bad strategy and short term thinking.
I was one of those blind enough to get caught up in all that nostalgia about OGS, the link to the past and the United way. Now I think it’ll end in tears at the end of next season at the latest, and then it’ll be swings and roundabouts once again. When you plan that badly no amount of money will save you.
That being said I’m not too impressed with City. Yes, they’ve bought well but their owners have more money than basically anyone, so it’s hardly a level playing field. You should expect City to win with that kind of financial backing. If anything it’s pretty poor that they’re not performing better in Europe. Perhaps Gullit was right when he said Pep can’t do it without Messi?
I think Liverpool (and Spurs for a long while) have done remarkably well pushing City to the limit considering they both are a league below when it comes to being able to spend money. With that in mind I would really like City to slip in the banana skin and lose out to Liverpool. If not for anything else then because it would be epic to see Nil’s reaction on here if it did happen 😉7th May 2019 at 1:22 pm #40211
Adlab, I’m now relying on Chris Hughton.
Man, how many more lifelines lol 😛
I’ve been going on about this since March 😀 🙂7th May 2019 at 2:21 pm #40212
Nil, the City lads were under immense pressure. I feel like you’re writing off their character a bit dare I say “Willy-Nilly” 😛 .. I couldn’t help myself there sry but ya , I mean I know what you’re talking about. There were a bit of lashing out going on. Silva could have been off TBH. I just think we’ve got to give people a little slack under such conditions.
You have previously called Aguero a “so called” great player but in my eyes, he truly is and without the “so called” bit. I’d love to have him in our team. He would give Firmino a run for his money no problem, maybe even keep him out of the team.7th May 2019 at 2:28 pm #40213

Money is a factor but it has to be spent wisely as nine and Mikus have said.
City only need to add one or two players a season now. Liverpool and even Chelsea aswell if they can hold onto hazard. They have already signed Pulisic who is an outstanding young player
Cory are already in for the young Portuguese lad to replace ferdhino
I think utd are in big tripibke as they need a host of players and ogs needs patience and time to build a proper starting 11 never mind squad.
I think gaz Neville is very fair. I’ve no problem with him. He’s brilliant to listen to and is honest7th May 2019 at 3:37 pm #40215
Let’s give this city team a huge bit of credit. They are a brilliantly coached team. Look how hard they work. The pressing is on another level. The opposition hardly have the ball.
They are much better st the back then people give them credit. Pep has improved numerous players. He’s a very strong character. City deserve the league. They are a phenomenal team who work hard and play brilliant attacking football. I’ve absolutely no complaints losing out to them7th May 2019 at 3:58 pm #402167th May 2019 at 4:06 pm #40219
Whoever wins this will definitely have won it in the best way, rather than the other team choking or bottling it. Both teams have done well with over two months of perfect results – it’s unheard of.
That said, I still hope that a good dose of the Noro virus with projectile vomiting and the wild shites besets the City coach on the way to the match on Sunday.

That’s it Beni. Can fully accept city winning it as we have given everything and proved we are a very good team
People forget were we we were for years. Klopp has got us firing in Europe again. Very proud of the team as many expected is to fold months ago and I include myself on that
Now there’s a belief with ten minutes to go we will get that goal of Needed. Been great to be part of all of this. We ave come on leaps and bounds under Klopp
I’m already concerned he might be leaving in 3 years time. Even though we have no trophies we are challenging again. Anfield is bouncing again. Big European nights eyc7th May 2019 at 4:55 pm #40225
I have the same worries Sean, regardless of what I’ve spoken about before. You can be confident of Klopp winning trophies in general but of course there are times when you wonder…
The fact is, if we can maintain and even improve on this level, we’ll eventually do it. We can only hope that the lads aren’t too deflated after the end of this season. As Beni said, there will be no question of bottling it, so maybe there will be a lot of pride involved there. enough for the lads to be able to reset and go again?
I know most won’t agree with me but I think it is time to give van Dijk the captains armband. The timing of it might be really useful also. A lift of sorts perhaps. Last time out we signed Fabinho super quick, that would also not hurt. If we got Fekir or someone of his quality in..
Look, I’m just spit-balling a little too much here perhaps. I know as a fan that i can accept another try. I’m super proud of those lads and don’t feel disappointed at all. I am more depressed for them than I am for myself.
Ultimately though. CL demi-finalists, PL runners up… Oh, poor us. To the neutrals out there who think we’re a bunch of so and so’s for taking this amazing season for granted. We just wanna win SOMETHING hahah
NEXT YEAR IS OUR YEAR!! WOOO7th May 2019 at 5:43 pm #40226
We won’t get those amount of points again, next season for various reasons. Like the idea of aiming for something like Arsenal ala 49 unbeaten.⚽️😎
