Jim…I do not think Gungdoghan is that bad but I would give Foden a go and see how he copes with Anfield,Pep will know soon enough to take him off or keep him on. The League will not be decided on this game, as it was last season but I am happy that City are talked down by the media now and Liverpooland Chelsea have the higher expectancy level. I am sure it will be a cracking game to watch. It is a game City and Liverpool should enjoy without all the hype this time hopefully

I’m not too pessimistic about Liverpool’s chances on Sunday because I strongly suspect the pressing and the energy levels will be back which should at least give them half a chance and still make for a good contest. Because of the importance of the game, I think it will play out more like a derby game, so to some extent, form will go out the window.

It’s in the interests of the rest of the chasing pack that City win.

Mikus, no team can high press for a full 90 mins. You pressed us for around 70 last season and got your just rewards but had the game gone on for another 10, I reckon City would have nicked at least a draw. Besides, Liverpool looked very tired, especially in the second half, against Napoli, which gives me some hope. Having said that, like Jim and Adlab, I’d take as draw now.
May the best team win. COYB.

GJ, I just think the concentration levels will be back because of the importance of the game. Our defence is also much improved. By no means saying that guarantees us the win, just it’ll be more of a contest than some think. If our front 3 and midfield are still found wanting and don’t deliver, you’ll most probably win. We can’t keep turning to Sturridge to bail us out.

Mikus, Liverpool are slight favs with most bookies and yes, your defence is much improved.
Our record at Anfield is awful. I’ve got a feeling that Pep might go with a false nine, like he did at OT last season and try and pull your central defence out of shape. Just think we need to play it a bit more cautious for the first 30 and grow into the game. If we can keep it tight for the first half, I do think the fact that you played away and on Wednesday might come into play. Having said that, I’ve never seen a City team under Pep, play to keep it tight, so who knows, eh?
Like I posted earlier, I’d take the draw now.

Whether Maureen goes which is probably likely very few top clubs will want to sign on a manager whose clearly past his best and literally has lost his mind, in fact any club would be very stupid to bring on board such a fellow.

According to the media it could be the end of the line for Mourinho at OT and it seems to have been coming for a while.

But whilst he’s made mistakes United’s problems go deeper than just Mourinho, this will be United’s third failing managerial appointment in the last 5 years and despite the significant investment in a squad which was left vulnerable and virtually unstrenghened in Fergies last couple of seasons the current squad look unbalanced and in need of some significant surgery to get anywhere close to being the best team in Manchester again.

It’s a massive job for whoever takes it on.

I don’t think he will be sacked like this. Will make the club look
    Like a joke

Despise Jose. Horrible for the pl not matter who he is managing. Pl is a better place without him

Have to agree with you Sean. I can’t believe someone would leak this at United. Unless it was Mouriniho himself! 😉

It happened like this with LVG too he had barely got down the Wembley steps I wouldn’t rule it out. Plus we have the international break 99
