Now we’re simply getting back to the notion that every team, mine included, have a win at all costs attitude which also includes bending the rules to suit themselves at all times…
Sure, the Goonies were time wasting sunday, even Stevie Wonder could see that, but there will be an occassion this season when the boot will be on the other foot and the Lego-amn will be spitting his dummy about how “unfair” it was on the Goonies… all part and parcel of the game now.
The only issue Sunday I think Oliver had, was the first Goonie goal, when he pulled Walker over to talk to him and didn’t give him enough time to get back… and even then, there’s an argument about how long Walker was taking to get back anyway… other than that he was put under a lot of “pressure” with both teams playing silly-buggers for 98 minutes.

24th September 2024 at 11:22 am #215724This is the thing mate. Teams will apply ‘gamesmanship’. But it’s the double-standards bemoaning rather than just taking it on the chin.
Football definitely a good advert. Conduct and Sportsmanship including Pep booting a Chair in anger; don’t really want to be seeing that in today’s society.
Society is screwed up as it is. Please don’t let your authority-power-wealth grow the better of you. Instead, set an Example.

24th September 2024 at 11:32 am #215725I do my best, Nil, but I have enough problems teaching Buffy to tie his shoelaces, without worrying about the rest of society.

24th September 2024 at 6:01 pm #215729I’m surprised United allowed Sancho to join Chelsea. I was skeptical about him, but having seen the little cameos he had was was impressive.

25th September 2024 at 9:21 am #215730Sancho is a enigma. He was given special treatment at United by Ten Hag. Was allowed time away to get his head right, yet never turned up.
Remember watching him live a few years ago and he was just strolling around not tracking back, whilst the full back had a tough time needing that support from Sancho. The United fans were unhappy with him and his lack of effort. Fucker earns a fortune and believes he has made it or too good to do some graft.
His time at Dortmund was over hyped. I maybe wrong here, but didn’t he manage the same stats as Antony?

25th September 2024 at 7:33 pm #215736Antony is a joke. 80m gone down the toilet. Considering Kudus is a better player and cost half the price, that indicates how poor United judgement has been over the years.

25th September 2024 at 7:38 pm #215737A bit too early to claim we are back. But we are on a bath to recovery. The game against Liverpool will tell has how strong our attack is, Liverpool has the best defensive record in the division so far, and anything we get from them is a bonus. On the other hand our defense still looks suspect, every time opponents attack you would feel they have a good chance in scoring, and the Liverpool attack is fearsome, despite the loss of Mane and Firminho, they are still very strong.
I’m liking from what i see so far, Jackson seems to be on the right track and is sharing goal scoring burden with Palmer. Caicedo is also coming good since Maresca was appointed, i think he is Playing to his strengths.
