I enjoyed the game. Chelsea deserved to win. Aurier is a goal waiting to happen.
The Spurs midfield was wrong. Too defensive no creativity. Typical of Jose these days. It was the same at Utd. Chelsea totally bossed the midfield. If Abraham had been better it could have been a lot worse for Spurs.
Also Harry Kane hardly had a kick. Will Jose be an improvement on Pochettino? IMO no.

Nine, from an outsider’s POV, I think what I see with Chelsea is acceptance (given all circumstances) from Chelsea supporters in majority of Frank managing the Club.

That in itself promotes harmony and stability. Sure, they’ll be along the road not so good results, but what I’m seeing comparing to Spurs and Man United is “Jose Out” and “Ole Out”.

I like Frank in his focus and getting on with the job day-to-day and not allowing any setbacks to affect him too much. You can see this filtering on the Pitch with the players

That’s the attitude to take and as long as there’s points to play for, as far as 4th goes, there’s every hope to consolidate a place.

Spot on Adlab,he continues with his outdated philosophy of not losing at all costs,rather than trying to win a game. If he seriously considers tying Eriksen down to a new contract , forget it, he doesn’t give a shit and has no doubt already pledged himself to a new club where he can continue to get splinters every week.
It will only take 3/4 loses on the bounce playing negative football and the Spurs faithful will turn faster than he realises.
Congrats to all the Chelsea lads on here a fully deserved win and top 4 for Xmas.

Conte was the pioneer of that system which everyone seems to be cusuing nowadays but not allways, VAR has been a blessing and long may it grow, Chelsea played very well which is puzzling why they can’t do that against much weaker teams cause on paper that was a real top class team Spurs fielded.

Blaze, wing backs had been used in football way before Conte came to Chelsea when he employed it, it did seem to catch everyone out in the PL when he did though and look what happened.?

Smart move by Frank to employ it yesterday because it completely caught Jose and Spurs out.

Blaze you are right, Conte was the pioneer of the 3-4-3/5-2-3 formation. As 999 says, wingbacks have been used before but more in a 5-3-2 formation.

Brilliant performance by everyone yesterday. Shame we didn’t win by more!

Now we have a another test in a couple of days when we will come across a team that will sit back defending deep and play on the counter at SB.

I hope after yesterday Jose now concedes Dier is at best a useful sub,Jan is not a left back , Aurier is not a right back, Gazzaniga should be dope tested before every game and Eriksen should never wear a Spurs shirt again.
I take my hat off to FL he got it right on the day the Old master was taught a hard lesson by the young pretender.Come on Jose start playing your best players, Rose or Sess on the left , Foyth on the right and Ndombele and Lo Celso now Sonny has a Xmas break , will he change his system ………. I doubt it .

FB’s is our major, double major, weak point, very closing followed by Dier being on the bloody pitch. Right now, any team with vaguely decent wing-backs is going to have us like Turkey’s at Christmas!!
