I think one of the biggest problems of football is that it is over analysed in a nonsensical way. We have confusing laws, TV, media VAR endless hindsight analysis by “experts”.Toe nail decisions etc. Where has the simple game of football gone???? Who is going to sort it and when

Brian, football sold its soul to TV, Broadcasters pay extortionate amounts, yet the clubs make very little if any profit, the vast majority of this money flows out of the game into players and agents pockets. The broadcasters hype up the games with pre, half-time and post match analysis, which with their obsession of trying to find fault with the referees has led to the introduction of VAR, which is yet another nail in the coffin of the game how we knew it.

It will never go back to how it was unless there’s a total collapse of football as a TV spectator sport….Pagan

Pagan…I know you are right but in some ways i hope it would collapse and we do go back to when some honest football. I would probably not like the discomfort of the old stadiums anymore but i do miss the real fans of yesteryear. I do not like the tribal mentality of to days fans Like to watch 22 players although always have my team at heart. Fanciful…OK…my era has passed but I know the watching experience was way ahead of to days status
