Speaking of unpopular opinions, any cricket buffs on here. I’m not really a cricket fan but do keep an eye on the one day matches ( test cricket is definitely a test that I lose trying to watch it, like having teeth extracted with no anaesthetic, whilst twenty/20 to me is just swing at everything & hope for the best), at least players have time to build an innings but still have to go relatively quick.
I thought you poms would beat us with your swing bowling home advantage but jeez you were pretty average (from the highlights I seen anyway). No sandpaper required this time round, I think we’re saving that for the Kiwis so we can add it to the underarm disgrace ?._____________________________

Nine, this is just out of order man. Honestly, I’m really pissed off now. I know that if I read my initial post on this, there is absolutely no winding up on my part and it’s just been complete fucking shit from there on.
I had a bit of fun with the ghost goal remark even though it is absolutely my opinion.. it’s so long ago that it doesnt matter though right?.. wrong, apparently.
Nine, I’m tempted to ream you out for that remark but I’m just going to say that you’ll apologize for it, or I’m done here. You’ve been pretty fucking weird with me this whole season. I don’t get you anymore. I think you used to be quite sensible and now you’re just lashing out.
I don’t want to have to step on egg shells every time I want to express a fucking opinion. so hear me, or just refuse to apologize and I’ll take my (apparently trolling) ass somewhere else.
you know what though. I don;t appreciate having to write angry posts on here. Im ok with it on TT cause their all a bunch of pricks but this place was better… and I say was.

Been off this circuit for obvious reasons with nothing to my interest at the moment and work commitments.
I noticed what was going on earlier today, but at the time, just didn’t have the time to engage myself. I don’t like this bring this up once again, but can’t help but think the initial post and a strike up conversation on Liverpool would have been better suited on an individual club site.
There is nothing sarcastic or anything distasteful written. I don’t see why there is any urge of ‘moving on’ from Non-Liverpool supporters. Though in reality, it’s relatively fresh, with only really a month in, June 1st from my experience to present feels like it’s dragged. When time is spare, it drags. Unless you’re on actual Holiday or have social activities with family, friends etc, there’s not a lot to do if your normal or main passion is Football.
Summers for me can be challenging, having to deal with depression from time to time. I have recently joined from work, an online support group which has so-far been refreshing and eye-opening.
I watched some new footage yesterday on a reflection of our campaign. It dawned on me just how much of an amazing season we had and how influential for example Divock Origi was to us. He is one unsung hero.
It’s not so much the 3 finals we’ve lost, but last season losing to Real in the manner we did was a travesty. So we’ve experienced harsh treatment ourselves. I say all along, it’s not a nice pairing as a Spurs had an excellent campaign themselves in this competition. It’s unfortunate they were on the wrong end of the Final. I do hope they win Silverware soon.
Everyone finds there own way to reflect and time and taking a step back is a great way to gain perspective.

I’ve disagreed with you on a few issues previously but that’s not me being weird we will never all agree on to everything on here and if we did it would be a preety boring site.
Sometimes what gets written in posts gets misinterpreted on here in a way that it wouldn’t in a face to face conversation certainly there was no offence meant from me towards you in anything I posted. Cyber handshakes. Cheers 999

I’m willing to write this one off to a misinterpretation, well the bit that actually pissed me off “crack on if you want to..” part. As for the rest, there definitely is some weirdness on here. If there isn’t, I’m not reading into that. My point does still stand (regards walking on egg shells) but I’m obviously going to just drop it all , since I seem to have misappropriated your use of terminology.
As for the point of the original flashpoint, I don’t troll on here. I mean every word I say on this forum, the other one, no. That’s different. I definitely don’t appreciate being called a troll on a site that I consider to be a good blend of rational supporters. It seemed that when I waited to air my opinion on the final, it wasnt long enough for the spurs fan but it was too long for you Nine, you see? It’s like I couldn’t win.

I know emotions and tensions run high, but if you’re an ilk of an armchair supporter away from the Pub for example and not with family but alone at the time, then the facility you have to celebrate is online when a goal is scored. Why Not?
There’s no grain of intent to offend anybody. I celebrated Mane’s goal for example even when City were 4-1 up on the last day.
There are naturally more Liverpool fans here which I can’t help in terms of participants and I know for a fact people don’t like it on a day-to-day basis no matter how they cover it up via Keyboard. There’s always going to be resentment or residual anger as long as it’s ‘a’ type of a forum that’s not no everyone’s liking.
That to me is the bottom line truth in all of this. I’ve tried the ‘private’ route in individual club message boards, but even then at some point, there is spam because there’s not equality in the amount of teams against the amount of trophies to be won.

Mav I hardly watch cricket at all mate, just get the results on sports news. I’m with you mate in regards to the money in sport these days, it’s out of control. As an old timer said to me many moons ago “it’s no longer sport, it’s business & if there’s money in it, there’s corruption in it”. Seeing players betting on games they’re playing in etc just turns me off it. I look at city now & pretty much know they’ll win the EPL before the comp even begins. We are spending massive money just to try keep up and the smaller sized clubs have no hope of competing over a full season.
An ex pro rugby league player here in Oz said he doesn’t like how “chummy” players are before games nowadays & there’s no real rivalries in it any more & I agree. Players laugh & joke before & after games like they couldn’t give a toss if they win, lose or draw, it’s simply a job for them these days with zero loyalty from players or the clubs.
I don’t watch much sport at all any more & certainly don’t get caught up with the emotion some fans do. I take it for what it is now, a bit of entertainment._____________________________
