This is quite a key subject to think about profoundly on the subject of AI. One of my cousins unfortunately was made redundant from his long standing IT role due to AI.
So whilst some out there may applaud and embrace AI, I worry for the reduction of human roles further down the line. It’s more too geared on generating more output/productivity in minimal time/effort.

I think history shows whenever anyone is far enough in one direction it causes enough hate to murder and cause atrocities to those with different views. Sadly hate is a very powerful tool in today’s politics, especially to manipulate those looking for someone to blame.

That’s the one thing I really love about Scandinavian politics… the structure is set up (certianly here in Finland) that no real party ever gains absolute power, so doesn’t matter if you’re extreme left or extreme right, you’ll never get to implement your “extreme” policies… and you have to agree and support the “basic” to even get a seat at the table (basics like healthcare, education etc… which benifit ALL!) to even spout your extreme nonsense…

The west played a part in defeating nazism and facism(but youre forgetting the biggest contributor… RUSSIA), the problem is that we are seeing the western countries looking to embrace facism! Youre boy elon musk with his now infamous sieg heil/nazi salute and him pouring money into ultra to far right organisations isnt gonna make the world a better place! Russia suffered a lot of casualties but the amount of support they got in terms of equipment, cash and supplies during WW2 was off the chart. Russia would have been rolled over without Western support. Absolutely it was the West that defeated Nazi Germany and Imperial Japan. The West didn’t ‘play a part’ in defeating Fascism and the Far Right – the West, and Britain most instrumentally, was the key reason Fascism was defeated.
Musk isn’t Far Right or a Nazi, he didn’t do a ‘Sieg Heil’ salute. It’s nonsense to suggest so.
Crying ‘Far Right’ or ‘Fascist’ when people ask for strong borders and the prioritisation of their own people over random economic migrants who rock up illegally in boats, is simply puerile and intellectually lazy. Britain has Marxists running the show right now and it’s no surprise that inflation is high, unemployment is rising and growth is stagnant.
