I concur on the your sentiments about the style of football and approach, but since the knockout stages, things have changed and we’ve gone above and beyond.
We’re one step away from reaching the a major final I believe since 1966, surely you would acknowledge some credit in the direction of Gareth Southgate?

Adlab, Cheers buddie actually my Chemotherapy doesn’t start until 11:30 am tomorrow but I’ve been at the Hospital most of today for tests etc. I’m hoping I’ll be up to watching tomorrow tonight but I’m going to record it just in case.😊
Looking forward to the game tonight should be a good one.

Hey Foxey, no worries mate we’ll just have to agree to disagree on the Southgate issue. Personally I think he’s done a fantastic job since taking over and he’s certainly won me over; I can actually see a long term strategy for the national team, something I have never seen before.
I’m sure we’ll both be equally happy with a win tomorrow too 😉

@DirtyHarry, I make no excuses for the fact that Leicester won the league with a combination of a great team spirit and playing style gelling as well as it being the perfect storm of others around them either going through significant transitions and a change in the old guard. Remember, Arsenal finished second that season !!!!!! Arsenal! Spurs were the insurgent. Man U were a basket case, Chelsea were suffering Jose’s third season syndrome, City were still getting to grips with Pep’s tactical inception, Liverpool were only just starting to build. We would never have won without all of those circumstances conspiring. The big difference between our win and England at the moment is we had a brilliant team spirit (some might argue England have this) AND a team really gelling in the flow, I don’t think even you can argue England have this right now.

I don’t particularly like the Italians and I’m cynical towards what they’re capable of in relation to ‘playing dirty’ and possibly do a number on either Denmark and England. The one standout quality I totally respect about Southgate is that his integrity shines through.
As a result, we’re not ruthless. I think we were like this in both 1990 and 1996. Players like Jorginho, Cellini, not innocent parties in the way they come across. We got good guys, but I think we’re just missing a Leader and slight experience to really be there for the rest of the lads.

Denmark play some great football lads. They attack with real purpose. 3 good centre backs aswell . The turn around after the Finland game has been remarkable.
It’s a tough game for England but England have the better team
I have to say I gave southgate loads of stick but he’s winning me over bigtime. He’s used his squad excellently. He’s picked players for certain games and he’s been brave.
I hope England go and with it now for him.
Italy deserve to be in the final.

I enjoyed the game last night and came to the conclusion Italy would be the better team to play, IF we get through to night. Although the Italians have this very tight defence, the pundits tell us that, and they do have a god track record, however, if Spain had a decent striker on they could have scored 3/4. They did get round the back defensive wall as well. Apart from the well taken goal they did not offer that much up front, a lot of fizz but no pop. Just a viewer opinion though
