We got Woodman, we got Jaros both as goalkeepers we can register. Then Gomez, Bradley and Frimpong, we also got Ramsay. Then we have Jones, Elliott, Nyoni and Bajcetic who can be registered. Then there is Danns as well. Rio will qualify as well shortly, then we do not have to register 25 players, even if we buy Barcola we can have a squad of 24 players and every player that qualifies for the u21 rule can play. In that instance we don´t have to register about 6 players. Depending on how this finally settles.

So ginger maybe you should read up on the rules mate.

Ginger, I thought you were being unduly pessimistic a month ago but I agree with you now. The club have really dropped the ball with the replenishment of the squad. We’re light all over the pitch and that’s not taking account of new injuries we might suffer.

We still have time. Who knows what effect, if any, the new investment in the club has had on our decision making thus far. I guess the good news is the investors must have been satisfied that the plan in place was going to add value long term. A very significant way that is going to happen is by the results on the pitch leading to greater commercial contracts.

Its going to be an interesting 2 weeks. Anything less than Barcola and a right winger will be unacceptable. I also think the midfield as light but that would be another huge investment, can’t see it happening. Iraola must be wishing he had arrived 12 months earlier and had been tasked with the summer spending plans last year.

Hoping this week that gakpo out, mbaye abd barcola in. Thats the rumours but its only rumours. We are so short.

We have plenty of bodies in midfield but were to soft in there. We need some big tough fooker who van break the lines with good passing.

Today at 6 should give us a good indication of who starts next sunday. If your elliot jones gakpo playing in the 12 behind closed door game today then i take it your going

I wasn’t trying to be pessimistic Mac, I’m not that type of supporter, I’m more the pragmatic/realistic sort and I could the issues and that they weren’t being addressed.

The squad currently, and even if we add Barcola, isn’t deep or strong enough to compete across 4 comps.

Bajectic, Poor guy; he’s been off-loaded supposedly and I’ve not seen him feature all pre-season. It feels like years since Jurgen unleashed him.

Jones also supposedly on his way; this frees up some change to put towards the Barcola kitty. PSG playing Hardball on this.

Bajcetic ended his career a few years back, sadly so but that has no effect on the league but Rodri joining Barcelona is huge for the league, this is the best midfielder in the league whenever fit. City have only bought one player of significance and they lost their ballon player.

City just lost 8-10 points with a single departure.

Ive a few lines on Mbaye’s deal and Gakpo.
What seems to be going on with these deals are that Spurs might have played a blinder, some proper wheeling and dealing. Spurs have agreed a deal with Gakpo and his reps, but theyre waiting for LFC to confirm the Mbaye deal. If indeed we get Mbaye in, expect a low ball offer for Gakpo.

As I said on the 17th August:
Dependant on price, who would be up for Ethan Nwaneri?

He is now our back up plan.

Yes similar to downman and saka but not as good. He wouldn’t blow me away

We are leaving it very late for all this. Gakpo wants to go.

Mad money for players these days so if gordon /mebueno etc is going for 70m then so should gakpo

Would take on loan with option, but not spend on now.

Lewis skelly be great ginger. Tmikas is absolutely pants and lewis skeely van play in midfield. He be perfect for us in midfield
As hes a nuisance and is aggressive puts his foot in. Hes nasty. We have no one with a pair of balls in midfield who really gets stuck in

Still, does it even matter if we bring in a 6 or defensive midfielder? Tactics last season and now are leaving us exposed in midfield. Gaps everywhere. Early days for iarola but its still happening. No player changes anything if both midfielders pressing so high and defenders to far back

Lewis skelly is ‘untouchable’ so I’m told.

The Nwaneri deal has been bubbling for a while, and if i remember correctly, we were linked with him when Klopp was still at LFC, so he’s been well scouted. Nwaneri fell down the pecking order not through ability, but he just wasnt ‘one of the favourites’ of Mikel, Saka is and was.

Now, he does tick a box or two, being a right winger, homegrown and young but i cant see him coming to sit back and be second fiddle to a very good Rio who is a left winger playing on the right.
