27th June 2025 at 7:00 am #220550Hi all, I have been watching over posts of teamtalk since it first launched. My last post was when Chelsea signed Salah and we signed someone else and I thought we could have signed him instead. Since then I lost my logins and havenโt been able to reset on the team talk site or recreate. Anyways glad I can post again. Gonna miss TT.
Other than that, welcome Kerkez

27th June 2025 at 9:33 am #220599I think the momentum behind Guehi is because Konate has still not agreed a new contract. If that situation continues I am sure we will look to sell him but that doesn’t necessarily mean he will go. Clubs like Madrid and PSG I think would be happy leaving him run the contract down and get him for free.
I am sure Guehi wouldn’t sign on the promise of having Quansah’s game time from last season especially in a season running up to a World Cup. I can see him coming in and Konate being relegated to 3rd choice or even 4th if we get one of the young CBs we’ve been linked with, assuming Konate doesn’t sign or be sold. Would be a risky move by Konate with his position as a French starter at the WC.
It’s been known that Konate would like to play for PSG at some stage in his career. Think he’s from Paris? Certainly started at FC Paris in his youth.

27th June 2025 at 10:33 am #220601All fair and valid points 3ps.
Wouldn’t mind in the meantime for us to find some up and coming young blood.

27th June 2025 at 6:10 pm #220656If Konate wants to ‘do a Trent’ he can, he has every right, but we bring in Guehi this summer and segue him in. I simply wouldn’t piss about. One eye on PSG or wherever and we’ll bring in a more committed centre half. It’s that simple.

27th June 2025 at 8:12 pm #220670New third choice keeper signed, Freddie Woodman.
English so helps with home grown numbers.
So at the min we haveโฆ.
Woodman
Gomez
Frimpong
JonesWith Elliot and Morton likely to leave.
There are others but too young.Tbf itโs better just to work out who the 17 (max) non home grown are.

27th June 2025 at 8:26 pm #220672Good old chatGPT to the rescue:
Goalkeepers
Alisson Becker
Defenders
Virgil van Dijk
Andy Robertson
Kostas Tsimikas
Ibrahima Konatรฉ
Midfielders
Wataru Endล
Alexis Mac Allister
Dominik Szoboszlai
Ryan Gravenberch
Forwards
Mohamed Salah
Diogo Jota
Luis Dรญaz
Cody Gakpo
Darwin Nรบรฑez
Federico Chiesa (if still at club)
New Signings (NonโHomeโGrown):
Florian Wirtz (joining from Leverkusen)
Milos Kerkez (joining from Bournemouth)
With these additions, Liverpool hit the 17-player non-homegrown cap:
15 existing players + Wirtz + Kerkez = 17, which is the maximum allowed for a 25-man Premier League squad

27th June 2025 at 8:52 pm #220673I’m not entirely sure on the 3rd Keeper concept, but in vague by tradition, I’m sure Clubs had one in place for a just-in-case or for whatever reason.
From last season in sight, I was impressed seeing Jaros. Liked him loads. He’s loaned and all good to learn his trade. So we have the new guy and Allison meaning this position now will be kept on toes. I’m starting to see this notion throughout effectively every playing position.
Not to get too ahead of myself, but I’m wondering from a point of view of Slot Stamping His Authority whether it’s more of an emphasis of Competition, or Purely and Simply, Physical Back Up. Either way, it’ all Strengthens and we are in the right Direction.

27th June 2025 at 9:08 pm #2206773rd keeper for a top level club is the best job in the world. Bit of training, match day tickets, no pressure, nice wage. Happy days.
It’s normal to have an experienced keeper for 3rd choice, you want keepers like Jaros or the new guy to go out and play games at the level they are sutied at.

28th June 2025 at 10:23 am #220697Really pleasing in terms of the business achieved so far bringing in Top Names. All in the space of a month. I’m sure the focus will be to try and sell players we don’t need going into July. Pre-season will be about 3 weeks.

28th June 2025 at 12:38 pm #220710In total agreement Sean. A player of Guehi’s ability with EPL and International experience for that price and at that age (24) is too good to pass up. If Konate is hemming and hawing, we move on. We need three top CBs anyhow as VVD can’t play every game (even tho he would!) and Konate will get his usual muscle injuries. It seems Guehi wants the move.

29th June 2025 at 12:20 am #220746Thinking we’ll reach an agreement this week with Guehi. Palace will try and get as much moolah as they can for him seeing as 20% will go to Chelsea. PSR resets on the 30th so watch this space…..

29th June 2025 at 9:18 am #220762Ye be great to fet him in rob. Honegrown and ive been impressed by him since he went to palace
I love elliot. Love his attitude and he is only going to get better but he just wont play especially since writz cane in. His lack of pace is a real problem if he wantrd to be a proper right winger and he just wont play as a ten.

30th June 2025 at 10:07 am #220817Iโm actually happy Liverpool didnโt go for Pedro from Brighton, not sure if we were in it for him. Much prefer other strikers out there

30th June 2025 at 10:27 am #220818Guehi could be officially our player come the end of the week. He rejected Arsenal and has his sights on Liverpool. An agreement just needs to be reached between the 2 clubs over the fee and we could be in for another Top Top Signing.

30th June 2025 at 10:28 am #220819Pedro seems a bit of a disciplinary nightmare by the sounds of it. Plus he’s not really a striker but more a 10 or inside forward and we don’t need anyone there.
Interest in Elliot will be high. Hope he goes somewhere like Newcastle, think they would love him there and its a good level for him. Think they are interested but then so are probably half the PL!
Quansah all but gone, Nunez can hopefully be agreed soon with Napoli, possible Elliot sale of 50m? Pure profit on him or near enough. That’s what 130m already then you have possibles like Diaz and Konate. Could almost afford a new striker at this rate!

30th June 2025 at 10:30 am #220820Tee2025, yeah, he’s not a bad striker but Chelsea have him now. I think our focus would be first to try and off-load Nunez. I still think we’ll attempt a bid for Isak but we need to free up funds.
I don’t know also where this all lies with compliance as far as how much we are allowed to spend under the fair play rules.
