Well, no so much dreading, but expected and perhaps in acceptance that something like this would happen. I don’t know if it’s the usual Newspaper stuff, but 150 mil bid turned down for Mo Salah or he himself has rejected, though the summer after, he would consider leaving.

Would ideally love it, if it was after winning the League for us.

“Juventus have formally announced the arrival of Maurizio Sarri as manager from Chelsea, confirming that the Italian has joined them on a three-year deal.
Sarri, 60, joins the Seria A champions after spending just one season at Chelsea, where he guided the team to third in the Premier League as well as winning the Europa League title.

27 to back that they lost their best MF in Ramsey it will take all of that ” £40m” plus the same again to replace him.I believe they will spend well in excess of £40m , pleading a limited budget might stop the selling clubs hiking the price but we will see.
Any team that has Aubameyang and Lacazette up front should be challenging for all trophies.

I’d be worried about them (if I was a Goonie!) if they lose that Teririariariaria chap in midfield too, only watched them twice last year and he was their best player on both occasions… and a lot of talk about Boomerang buggering off to China too… keep this up and they’ll be serious trouble… (hopefully! 🙂 )

The big plus in Frank coming back to Chelsea is Jody Morris coming with him who knows the Academy inside out there are some real jewels in there ripe for polishing in the right circumstances.

Pagan, I doubt Frank was earning more than Sarri but it’s difficult to know what is accurate in respect of these compensation payments.

Ya, some really idiotic stories out there. They look especially silly this summer because we have been told not to expect major signings.

Liverpool fans are generally not doing silly season. That hasn’t stopped the media from trying.

The thing I don’t get is with Lovren going, why have they not gone we ligt overdrive? Or have I missed something you know… by not paying attention to it at all?

Mak, Liverpool have been linked to de ligt in the media but I think wages are a stumbling block with de ligt, also his agent is Raiola.

“It seems PSG are starting to pull away from Barca in the race after offering de Ligt and Ajax a seriously tempting financial package.

According to Sport, the Ligue 1 champions are prepared to pay €90m for him and will offer a salary of €15m-per-year – which works out at around €288,000-per-week.”

If accurate hat would break most wage structures in the PL.

Football wise with De Jong already there Barca look the best bet of the two but Raiola deals often don’t recognise that.

Ah ya I know we’ve previously been linked, never seriously in my opinion. I stated on here at the time that I didn’t want to sign him. What I mean though is how they usually do and 2 + 2 on things ie. ‘Lovren being sold paves way for De Ligt’.

Realistically that doesn’t make sense but they don’t deal in realism.

He may go on to be the best defender of all time. He’s definitely good but he’s also rampantly hyped, so I’m glad nothing serious is going on there. I just want Gomez to get past his injury problems and for Van Dijk to keep doing what he’s doing.

Our money would be better spent further up the pitch, or as I said before, held onto until another window.

Obviously Lovren will have to be replaced but he’s a squad player now, behind Matip and Gomez. To just get someone half decent who has a good fitness history is enough for what we need.

It feels good to be ok with a quiet window. All the worry that we wouldn’t get what we needed… this is a new experience for all Liverpool fans haha.

Mak, I think de ligt would be a great signing for Liverpool but his wage demands at 19 stopped anything getting past first post.
