Would definitely not be selling Mainoo at the moment. He has shown some nice moments and undoubtedly has ability. Problem is he lacks physicality to play week in week out in CM in that Amorim system. Would be happy to have him around for at least another season. He is not causing any issues and can do a job of the bench as long as we don’t give him a silly contract in the meantime.
On another note, how big a cunt is Sancho? Talking about freedom and just wanting to play football, yet won’t go to anyone who aren’t giving him £250K a week. Don’t think i have ever despised a player as much in my life. Just epitomises everything that is wrong with modern football. Zero ambition beyond a pound note.

We really don’t have an untouchable player.This team needs a complete overhaul, especially all of our senior players.And on top of that, we keep signing other teams rejects.ie Case, de Light, Mazraoui.Plus,we keep rewarding failures like Shaw, Harry,etc, with new contracts.

@maverick1973 – whilst I agree that we don’t have any players of such quality that we can’t consider them unsellable, there are players that, in our current state, we shouldn’t sell and should do all we can to keep because they add a lot to our first team and still have room to improve and can potentially be starters at a top team:
Untouchable: Amad, Yoro, Dorgu, Cunha, Mbeumo, Sesko
Should keep: Mazraoui, De Ligt, Martinez, Heaven, Fredricson, Leon, Obi, Mainoo
Middle-ground: Fernandes, Maguire, Ugarte, Hojlund, Zirkzee, Heaton
Should sell: Onana, Bayindir, Dalot, Shaw, Mount, Casemiro
Sell ASAP: Malacia, Garnacho, Sancho, Antony
That’s my take at least.

On what basis would you keep Martinez Sympathy? The guy’s been an unmitigated fucking disaster. Never fit, not tall enough, not quick enough and a yellow or red card waiting to happen from the moment the whistle blows. And to summarise, he’s just not very good.

Agree mostly with that Sympathy. But i don’t think Shaw or Mount will be sold, nor should they if they stay fit. Both very good players on their day but the problem has been their day is very rare before a long term injury. As for Dalot i think managers love him for his work rate, injury record and ability to take on instructions. And he’s one of the dressing room leadership team so, despite his shortcomings, he’s going nowhere.
So i’d swap Dalot, Shaw and Mount to the middle ground category and replace them with Maguire and Hojlund in the should sell category. Even though Maguire is a useful backup.

@jm1502 – I fully understand where you’re coming from mate, but I like Martinez and think that, IF (and it’s a massive if) he remains fit, he would be our starter in the LCB position. Don’t get me wrong, if he’s sold tomorrow I wouldn’t be shocked nor utterly heartbroken, I just think that if he gets the chance to be bedded back in without being rushed, I’d like to see if he settles back into the team. His ball-playing skills out the back would be instrumental to improving our build up play I feel.
@happyhurling – I’m not saying about what WILL happen, it’s more about what I would do if I was manager sort of thing 😉 I don’t rate Dalot: he may run, he may obey instructions and he may be liked by managers, but a 10 year old girl can have those traits… it doesn’t make a Man United player. I’d trade him for most other RBs in the EPL alone. He simply is poor at defending and is not overly effective going forward (his crossing is abysmal). To Shaw and Mount, they’re never fit and not that great historically (though they were both good against Arsenal to be fair). Maguire at least brings a great mentality and has proven to be effective when needed; the other two haven’t. As to Hojlund – I’d prefer loaning him out than selling him.Cheers

Thought Mount played well on Sunday maverick and it should have been Bruno that was subbed instead of him. But you’re right, we should never have bought him.
Sympathy – yeah, I’ve heard this argument from you and others that Martinez is decent on the ball mate. I disagree, the guys just average at every level. Another massive Ten Hag bollock. Not altogether sure about your untouchable list either mate. Amad needs to start delivering a bit more than the odd piece of magic and do it consistently. And for me, the jury is still well and truly out regarding Yoro and Dorgu.

Martinez was the best defender in the league in his first season, absolute beast he was. Do you not remember Carragher having to eat his words? He’s small but he wins so many of his aerial duals its unbelievable. He can pick a pass as well and is always aggressive in the tackle. When he is fit he is very, very good. I do have a feeling those injuries (the one last season looked like a career ender like Michael Owen’s that time) will mean he never gets back to that level. But if he does he’s nailed on for that left CB role.
