Whoever buys the club from the Glazers, if it ever happens, has to make it a condition of the sale that they clearly ALL debt before the sale is finalised. When they are walking out the door and handing the keys to the new owners the club has to be debt free, 100% debt free.

I know but if the sale won’t go through unless they clear the debt….. Club is valued at what??? £6bn? More? So they get £6bn in their pocket and clear the debt? They know which ways to reduce their tax payout so they’ll probably get most of it regardless, less the debt clearance

They still own around 69% of the shares so they can do whatever they please with the club, as unpalatable as that sounds. Hopefully we are far nearer the end of their reign now than we are the beginning, but god knows how many more years they will choose to stick around for.

If we had sold Bruno i would say get Paqueta .. he can play CM more comfortably than Bruno as he does play there a bit for West Ham .. but we got Bruno…
Mainoo has always been one paced, slow, not a very good passer and was always hype.. so there won’t be much improvement there.

I was actually thinking that about Dorgu before last night’s game. Especially if Dalot plays at RWB, Dorgu has licence to get forward when Mbeumo is whipping balls into the back post he will get plenty opportunities for both goals and assists from pull backs… plus he’s only £4.5m in the game

@Happy to answer your question yes i am .. also go back and read my post .. i said if we had sold Bruno then Paqueta would be a good shout as we do also need technicality in the center and Paqueta isn’t afraid to scrap.. also Paqueta might be a cunt but he is a good player regardless and he is 27years old .. also another Cunt in Pep Guardiola saw it wise to have wanted to buy him for city before the betting scandal..
When i see you post @Happy i think you don’t actually watch football matches outside of ManUTD and even when you do watch the ManUTD matches you get shit wrong on so many levels.
Paqueta has also been a main starter for brazil even with the Betting scandal until recently

@Happy i believe i have sufficiently explained both of my posts and if you cannot fully understand em then that’s on you. On the subject of Bruno i would sell him in a heart beat regardless.. either last season or this season and ofc you will argue with that..
I do love Bruno as he is one the best buys we have had since post fergie but We need a midfielder who can set the tempo of games, link plays, keep the ball, distribute it with discipline and no i didn’t say Paqueta is the answer.

Paqueta is a disruptor and he, as you have rightly said Dee, can also scrap. we definitely need one of them in the middle. I was all for keeping bruno, and I believe the only one on TT, but with the hopes of him playing as a 10, definitely not as a midfielder. so obviously we’ve signed two 10s and no midfielders. we cannot play bruno in midfield, as I think almost everybody on here knows, so that’s why I would sign paqueta in a heartbeat. I don’t think he’s as good as tonali but then again I think tonali is unreal.

@Killy-The way a full sale would work is that the buyer would normally decide how to handle the debt. They could pay the Glazers full value with the understanding they repay the debt or they could pay full value less debt, and then take care of it themselves. So if the club is worth £6BN and the debt was £500M, they could either pay the full 6 and have the Glazers repay the debt or just pay £5.5BN and take care of it themselves. I don’t think the debt is that big an issue. The Glazers will never get compensated for it so they’ll ultimately take the hit if they do sell. The bigger issue is the cash we burn through on transfer fees and wages without actually getting performance on the pitch. Criminally poor return on investment. Just not sustainable longer term.

Part of the issue with the debt is the dividends the Glazers take out of the club. Most of our transfer debt is because the owners are stripping the club of cash. We’d have far less transfer debt if not for that. Your point is good regarding actual transfers though. We have been criminal in terms of how we’ve spent our money and the return we’ve gotten on it. However, that’s also down to the Glazers.
