@JM-Thats the main worry with Bruno. No point playing well for 70 mins and then he gives it away cheaply and we’re getting broke on 5 v 3 like what happened in the EL final. Heard Amorim talking about his passing range the other day but there is hell of a lot more to playing CM than hitting a pass. Agree also about Mainoo, undoubted ability but just can’t seem to adapt his talent to fit a certain role on a consistent basis.

He doesn’t play well for 70 minutes these days though mate. I’m afraid he’s been reduced to flashes of brilliance amongst mainly mediocrity and casual medium pace. We’ll rue the day we didn’t take that reported 100 million.

Any pace in our defence is going to have to go on the right because neither Dalot nor Amad are going to be great physically, Leon and Dorgu look like absolute beasts and have plenty of pace

@N1xer – Yeah but Chelsea have made 270 mill on player profits since the new owners came in, and very few of those sales involved Saudi Arabia eg Mason Midget, Madueke, Maatsen, Connor Gallagher, Lewis Hall, Omari Hutchinson plus many more.
They are just operating on a completely different level to the clowns we’ve got running our transfer business, simple as that.

@Blacky-No doubt they’ve have done well to move players on mate. ETH should be jailed for the fees paid for Antony, Mount and Hojlund alone. But Chelsea are operating from a position of strength as its seems they have an endless pot of money and no way that’s coming from the yanks. They’ve spent that £270M in outgoings 4 times over already. Anyways, couldn’t give two fucks about Chelsea mate. One of the teams i hate the most in the league without doubt.

Donnarumma is out of contract next summer, PSG are moving for Chevalier, incidentally who I think we should have gone for at the start of the summer. This is a deal we could do cheaply, they got Donnarumma on a free anyway so I don’t think we need to break the bank if PSG want him out the door. We could either agree a loan where we pay all his wages and try and get him on a free next summer, or offer £10-15m now and see what happens. That sounds too much like common sense for our recruitment department.

Since new owners took over, their net transfer spend is £760m

Donnarumma would demand high wages (currently on over £200k p/w) but should be available for bargain transfer fee. Ironically, another keeper we are linked with – Lammens – his biggest weakness seems to be aerially too

If he’s interested in the move we should be looking to push it through

This’ll be controversial but here we go – Sesko is no better than Hojlund
Obviously Hojlund had a disaster last season – his confidence was shot and there was no alternative in the squad to take him out of the firing line. But Sesko? He didn’t push on last season. Maramoush scored more league goals then him, and left in January

Don’t get me wrong, we need to sign a CF but my priority would be somebody more experienced like Mateta or Watkins

Less controversial one: Dorgu should be an auto pick in FPL

Ah, penny just dropped, Fantasy football. Fuck me homer, one decent game mate, and I watched the game, he was decent. You may be right about Sesko not being what he’s billed as, and maybe Höjlund will come good (I doubt it), but you can’t pay huge transfer fees for the likes of Mateta or Watkins when they have no resale value whatsoever mate.

@homer – It’s profit they have generated on the players that they have sold on, I never mentioned net spend. Point being that they do a pretty good job at getting top dollar for their rejects, whereas we end up practically giving them away. It’s pretty damning that the 25 mill we got from Leeds for Dan James is still right up there on our list of highest outgoing transfers.

We’ve never been good at selling players though, ever! It’s never really hindered us has it? Once a player is deemed surplus to requirements at United his value just plummets. It’s been that way forever. Ronaldo was the only one really. We got our money back pretty much for Lukaku and Di Maria from memory but that’s it. We just don’t do well in that regard. It’s not a Ratcliffe thing. Or a Woodward thing. It’s not even a Glazers thing. Its a Manchester United thing and we’ve dealt with it for decades.

@happy – How in fucks name can you say that it’s never hindered us? Do you not think if we’d have been alot smarter we would have more dough in the kitty to buy the players we need this summer instead of scrambling around looking for what’s dropped down the back of the fucking sofa!
For example, we sold Alvaro Carreras to Benfica for 5 mill, yet he goes for 43 mill only 18 months later, then you have Elanga going for an extra 40 mill only 2 years after we flogged him to Forest.
The club is drowning in debt and still owes around 300 million in unpaid transfer fees, so to suggest it doesn’t really matter how shit we are at selling players on is just plain fucking stupid, even by your lowly standards mate!!😂😂

I just mean its always been that way and we’ve been alright. I think we generate enough income to cope. This summer is a good example, we are absolutely broke because of the financial fair play rules – yet we might end up spending over £200m by the end of the window.

Well my definition of “alright” is far fucking different from yours clearly!😂😂 And whatever we are spending this summer is just adding to the 300 mill that we already owe, which is nothing to be pleased about in my book.
