So, possibly the biggest game in our history next week, not only with bragging rights on the line, but also with the poisoned chalice of the possibility that’s about as good as it will ever get for us Spuds. Win, and it looks like Poncho leaves, lose, and forever live with the feeling that was it, as I doubt the team that lines up in August is going to look anything like the team that starts in Madrid.

Personally, I want the bragging rights and welcome the new manager as I can’t help feeling next week is the end of this teams era… despite fully expecting us to lose anyway! ?

Do we go for Eddie Howe or do we start playing the glactico manager game and go for old Autin Allegro?

Should we all put up a “going forward” thread for our Clubs.? I might change the trend and put up a going backward thread for Chelsea. ?

Spurs will be fine Chucky I doubt Poch will leave despite what he’s said he’s got a great job at Spurs for all sorts of reasons.

Spurs might lose one of two of the players who are in the last year of their contract but the signs are Levy will loosen the purse strings as he’s a bit fearful of losing Poch.

You’re right about the CL Final though can Spurs seize the opportunity because realistically you don’t get too many of them.

Liverpool are rightful favourites but Spurs are a good team and seemingly there’s a bit of a feeling in the Spurs Camp that their name might be on the trophy and I wouldn’t discount the effect of that.

If Kane really is 100% fit to start of come off the bench who knows but one thing I can guarantee having been through two Finals is that whatever the outcome you’ll be a nervous wreck by the end of it all .?

Remember swapping some comments with Wasplicker a few months back, (at least I think it was Wasplicker), I think the current team has peeked so to speak, and that we’ve been sussed a bit. Unfortunately, our fall from grace with greatly exaggerated with a bunch of injuries, but we were still not that good as people were saying when we were clinging onto the Top2’s coattails. I’d would say we’re 3rd best in the country, a bit of luck with injuries and we would have had 3rd sown up with 4/5/6 games to go, but we’re nowhere in Pools/City’s league at the moment and as you say, a few key members are likely leaving.

I do think there is some cash there, but how much is the question. Maybe enough for 2 Top Draw players max… we’ll see!!

Chucky, I wouldn’t begrudge you lot the CL trophy, only we’re absolutely desperate to win it this time. Between losing our past 3 finals and then missing out on the PL with 97 points, Liverpool fans have got PTSD.

When I looked at the Ajax semi-final, I was hard pressed to pick between who I’d want to win , had Liverpool bot gone through. I went with Ajax because they are a small club in financial terms but an absolutely massive club in terms of culture and history. When I look at Spurs then, I see a team who deserve something. Poch has created something genuinely impressive and you deserve to see something for it.

I remember 2005, Nine and the Utd fans will have similar memories. Well, it’s just incredible to watch your team be crowned the champions of Europe. I would love for you to experience that but… it’s going to have to be over my dead body.

I just hope that the game isn’t won on a controversial decision. Hope it’s clean and doesn’t go to penalties. Penos are exciting but they suck. Playing Russian Roulette would be exciting too but you wouldn’t consider it to be a fun experience…

On the point of the game. At the moment, thing’s simply are a Damp Squid.

Nothing happening or having to come to terms the first Weekend of simply Nowt Happening.

No BBC Final Score and Jason Mohammed 4:30 Saturday Teatime. This basically is where we are with stuff.

Being a responsible parent I had to get out of bed to check if our cats are all fine with all that screeching outside, like Liverpeudians more noise than anything else, however I will watch the final without worrying who must win for a change. My Dad was a Spurs supporter and my younger brother is a Liverpool supporter, (yes suddenly his girlfriend is also a Liverpool supporter) reminds me of United fans.
