the problem isn’t mbappe per se. you can have an mbappe and indeed he is very useful and can win you leagues and champions leagues with him. but only if everyone else picks up the slack for him, just like when Ronaldo was at Madrid. so you clearly can’t have vini there as well. everyone else’s attitude has to be ‘listen, this guy is going to get us a goal a game so we have to do the rest.’
I do agree with maverick about Bellingham though. his attitude after the first half of his first season hasn’t been right and he just wants to get forward. he’s got all the attributes to do what no one else in the team can do which is protect that back four but instead he just wants to be yet another attacking player. that can’t go on. the right manager needs to be brought in to change how he decides to play or you have to sell the boy.I was on the London underground yesterday and it was swimming in arsenal shirts all on the way to the parade. and I tell you not one, and I mean not one supporter was even mildly in a good mood. I found that funny tbh. I was also talking to a mate out in Austin, texas and he said what a lot of us on here were saying all season. the boy is an arsenal supporter and he said he has hated watching them all season. as I’ve said many times before, it’s not all about the 3 points. you watch your team or football in general because you want to be entertained.

It isn’t just about Mbappe’s output which is without question world class but the overall game play and there’s a reason the PSG team vastly improved after he left and why the madrid team regressed after he arrived. Real Madrid over the years aren’t new to the idea of picking up the slack for their teammates Benzema did it for Ronaldo and Rodrygo did it for Vini; but when 2 of starting 11 do not contribute at all defensively then the entire team is bound to crumble.
Also in terms of attacking output Mbappe has a general selfishness when in possession and in a team full of egomaniacs like madrid that is bound to cause some frictions. Hence why they are an example for every club out there currently.

It’s far simpler than that Dee. Their keeping and defensive departments are shite and their midfield is as average as fuck mate. They’ve never replaced Modric and Kroos and for all people wax lyrical about the likes of Guler and the lad Mastantuono, who can’t get a game by the way, the least of Madrid’s worries are Vini and Mbappe.

Fair points @Jm but replacing kroos nd Modric will be next to impossible and Guler is a talented player just not in the same mould as those 2 to be able to control the tempo of games. Also madrid went unbeaten in 2months of Mbappe’s absence playing Brahim Diaz and Vini uptop because madrid play 442 with Arbeloa.
The team can only always carry one stroller but asking them to carry 2strollers will always be a big task for any midfield or defence.

Dee, they’re just generally shite mate. Tchouameni hasn’t done it, Camavinga hasn’t done, tbh Bellingham hasn’t really done it, Guler is a good player, no better than that, Valverde is a good player but again not a world beater and the rest just make up the numbers. From where I’m sitting, Mbappe is their only world class player and you don’t expect your 42 goal a season man to be tackling back mate.

Jm .. Kylian Mbappe has the lowest defensive contribution in La liga and this also includes Goal Keepers; in Champions league both him and Vini are bottom of the list in that statistics.
Harry Kane and Haaland are two of the most prolific strikers with similar output to Mbappe but they still help their teams out defensively when needed. Don’t get me wrong i am not saying for him to be a pressing machine or always tackling back but when the team needs it then put the work in.
