6th August 2025 at 10:52 am #223134Fuck me, Sky are so short of shite to show, theyโre running the Cody Gakpo story. Heโll be lucky if he plays any games outside the Carabao Cup this season.

6th August 2025 at 12:14 pm #223140Fee rising to ยฃ56 million for Nunez incoming now. A loss on their initial investment but you could say he was part of a team that won the title and itโs pretty reasonable coin to be bringing in.

6th August 2025 at 12:26 pm #223141Is he off to Saudi? Don’t think any European clubs would go near him now. Suppose its easier to get decent money for players who formed part of a title winning team. Finishing in 15th not so much!!

6th August 2025 at 12:38 pm #223143Yeah, looks like Saudi. Newcastle should have taken him and cash for Isak. I think he has something about him, big, strong, quick, angry. I always thought he might have done well for us although I know most will disagree.
Harvey Elliot will be off soon as well, ยฃ40 million minimum. Signed him for about 4 million.

9th August 2025 at 8:01 am #223308Wonder if Isak will kick on or could he be just a one season hit?

10th August 2025 at 3:09 pm #223403JM – Looks like Ekitike isn’t that shit then?

10th August 2025 at 4:04 pm #223413I donโt recall saying Ekitike was shit happy, in fact he was on my very short list of potential strikers to sign this summer. I actually think heโs better than Isak who, although good, has become wildly overrated (courtesy of the English media) and who is also injury prone.
On another note, Wirtz looks a Rolls Royce but Iโm very quickly changing my mind about Adam Wharton, and not just based on today. He gets about a bit, gets a foot in and intercepts, but Iโm not seeing a lot else. Liverpoolโs title Iโm afraid but I guess the consolation is that it wonโt be Citeh._____________________________

10th August 2025 at 4:12 pm #223415The scousers are actually playing that Dutch total football type thing from the 70s where theyโre all just moving all over the place, no coaching the fuck out of them and imposing strict formations, just quality footballers making their own decisions on the pitch.

10th August 2025 at 4:25 pm #223417Yeah they look good going forward but i suspect Van Dyke is past his best now and they seem a little vulnerable on the break. Agree with Wharton, a few nice passes but not much more. I thought when we were linked with Ekitike you said he wouldn’t be good enough? He looks top drawer today. Not sure how Palace are losing this though…

10th August 2025 at 4:46 pm #223420Agree about VVD, finished, was glad when they gave him the new contract. Same with Salah tbh, looks like theyโve got better options than the 33 year old, especially if Isak comes in. Thing that mat do for the scousers is that Kerkez and Frimpong are great going forward but not so good the other way.

10th August 2025 at 5:20 pm #223429Fuck me, Palace never give up, despite the VAR official Paul Tierney trying his best to rob them.

10th August 2025 at 5:26 pm #223433I mentioned on Teamtalk that Ekitike is a talented footballer but there are doubts he would cut it in the Premier League. At circa ยฃ80m teams like City, Liverpool were in a better position to take a punt on him.

11th August 2025 at 9:42 am #223496Jumpers for goalposts, only seen one clip from yesterday of Ekitike, but I must say without exaggeration he did impress me not only with his finish, but it was like he’s played for us already for a while. Good attitude and seems a resemblance to Marmoush of City.

11th August 2025 at 1:07 pm #223521That’s a bit of a fall from grace for Jack Grealish isn’t it?!

11th August 2025 at 1:39 pm #223522Always thought Cityโs acquisition of Grealish was more about trying to make a statement rather than him being a good fit for the club.

11th August 2025 at 3:22 pm #223530Agreed Mikus. It was all about splashing the cash with the Grealish deal. Hopefully your lot befall the same fate this season!! ๐
