You have Harry Maguire and John Stones as England CBs.

20 years ago you had Rio and Terry, then King, Campbell as alternatives.

You have Rice, Bellingham as CM. Both good, but nowhere near the level of Lampard, Gerrard, Scholes, Hargreaves and Carrick. Hargreaves and Carrick would walk in to this England 11 today. So would Upson and Carragher.

It is not just the PL the quality has gone down hill, it is every top league in Europe.

That is how far the quality has fallen.
