5th September 2026 at 2:15 pm #255895The more I see of Alex Scott, the more I think we should have made a decision way before the transfer window to offer Bournemouth what they wanted and he should have been the first man in. Iβd have been happy with him and Sangare or Camara.

5th September 2026 at 3:14 pm #255901@jm Completely spot onβ¦ i did say this in another post why wait until the summer transfer window to get a player you definitely know will improve your team. Scott, Sanagare and Camara couldβve been gotten for that combined 160M.
Liverpoolβs Sporting director has been relieved of his role after having back to back disastrous transfer windows especially spending such an amount on Wirtz

5th September 2026 at 4:59 pm #255904Fuck me, people on here would be pissed off if weβd bought Tonali. I had to check he was on the pitch today at Forest.

5th September 2026 at 7:25 pm #255909Dee, teams tend to oscillate between very good windows and then ones that turn out to be dire. Liverpool bought no names and they became a legendary and, as MUFC quite rightly pointed out on a previous post, fluid front three. they bought Robinson for not a lot at all, then nailed it with VVD and Allison. but last summer was a total disaster for them. buying Wirtz and trying to change the identity of the team in doing so reminded me of when they bought the lad from Bayern and he just wasn’t at all suited to the prem. city too hardly missed for several years but they haven’t had an excellent transfer window in God knows how long. I don’t think that new midfield of theirs will be good at all tbh.
we, however, are the exception. it just appears to be bad window after bad window.
as for tonali, JM, give the boy time. that entire midfield is new, is it not?
as to the fluid front three that I desire, I really think we are going to see that being implemented by the best teams as a way to counteract the overly drilled players that is now the norm. they wouldn’t have any idea how to deal with fluidity imo. you may argue, and correctly imo, that we don’t have the skilled players to do that right now, but I’d say we can’t do much worse than what we are now provided that midfield 3 behind them are disciplined._____________________________

6th September 2026 at 2:48 pm #255969englishbob, IΒ΄m pretty sure this big transition Liverpool were in is finished for the main part, the club had a terrible offense last season, so slow. Now the club got one of the fastest attack in Europe.
Wirtz is a very good player and the teams identity has changed from a front three to a front four, we still have not seen the most expensive frontline ever in the premier league play together. So we got that to look forward to and that frontline will have more option when Ekitike comes back.
Everyone in the premier league is crossing their fingers together and saying a little prayer as they do not wanna see this transition work except for Liverpool fans.

6th September 2026 at 5:49 pm #256029@notorious – Lot’s of wishful thinking and putting copious amounts of lipstick on several pigs there matey, and as for Wirtz he has been absolutely fucking woeful so far to the extent that I doubt you would even get 50% back on what you paid for him. I actually don’t think there is a team in the PL other than Arsenal and City that are nailed on for a top 4 finish this season because the defending right across the board is just so absolutely woeful.

6th September 2026 at 5:57 pm #256031@bob – Yeah good game mate, but all this guff I’ve been hearing about Chelsea being Arsenal’s nearest challengers is exactly that, pure bollocks. Their defence is absolutely woeful, and their midfield is short of options now that they sold that horrible Argie cunt without replacing him.

6th September 2026 at 6:07 pm #256032The Gunners paid Β£34m to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge this summer and, frustratingly for Manchester United, the Greek winger was one of the standout players in North London.
The source of frustration is because Tzolis was eager to join United this summer, only to then make a switch to Arsenal.

6th September 2026 at 6:15 pm #256035@blacky67 – listen, arsenal have absolutely battered Chelsea but I wonder if caciado, who for me is essential to them, would have made a difference. probably not enough tbh.
@notorious bingo – wirtz is no good for this league, he needs way more space and time on the ball than is afforded to him. I do think you have strength on the left and up top but there are a lot of ifs for that to be certain: will your new PSG signing hit the ground running and adjust to the league? I think probably but it’s still a question. will Isak continue his start? who knows, too early to tell obviously. and as for Hugo, I think he’s brilliant but when will he be back and how will he look then? as for the right, you don’t have anyone as far as I can see it, unless the PSG lad can play there? I’ve seen him do it for PSG but will he want to? everyone’s a prima donna now so maybe not. as for the midfield, it’s a mess as are your fullbacks especially kerkez who doesn’t even look prem level.

6th September 2026 at 8:02 pm #256051You lads are in for a surprise this season, cause this lad is a workaholic when it comes to teamwork and workrate, you have to be blind not to see his talent on the ball. If I would compare him to any former player in the league it would be Modric, sadly though we never got to see the best of Modric in the league. We are gonna see 5 seasons at least with Wirtz and I bet they will get on the same pedestals as players. The whole league is just rooting against it, denying his talent is kind of like denying the fact that Bruno got end product. The only thing that can ruin the kid is too many injuries and too much press. He just needs to start doing some no look nutmegs to get the crowd going if he does not score goals.

6th September 2026 at 8:38 pm #256054Hahaha dream the fuck on, he’s been utter shite and has so far shown zero signs of even being a 60 million player, never mind close to double that number. He’s very lucky to have the likes of Carragher and Redknapp and all the other biased as fuck pro scouse pundits giving him such an easy ride on SKY because if he played like that for us you can 100% guarantee that they would be all over him like a cheap suit, simple as that.

6th September 2026 at 8:53 pm #256055The whole time he had played for Liverpool er have never seen their best lineup once, the closest we came was against Ipswich and that would have been a worlds first for over a season.
The only thing that could hold this lineup from succeeding is injuries.
Γsak just played his first 90 minutes and scored a goal, then he got a brace, Wirtz has had one or two disallowed goals and been a key player in every transition.
Honestly on paper there is no better offense in the league except Haaland.

6th September 2026 at 10:22 pm #256062@Notoriousbingo β¦ you and @happy are definitely smoking the same plants π€£π€£π€£β¦ pool would have been better with Szobo as the No.10 and then signing two good Central midfielders because MacAllister is another thrash. As for your right flank i think Munoz and Gakpo can make it work considering Iraola is your new coach.
