Not sure who’s got the biggest arse in this team between Shaw and Mbueno but they both look like they’ve expanded over the summer. Carrick should be preparing an apology after this performance. Yep, two fat arsed useless fuckers SYDNEY. To be honest, I think both Mbeumo and Cunha are turning out to be mediocre buys. I’m afraid our incomings just aren’t good enough and haven’t been for a long time. Truth is, we still need right and left backs, a CB, two CMs, a striker and maybe a wide man. And I can’t see anyone we have that would raise good money if we sold them. It’s a fucking disaster.

It’s easy to blame Santos and Tielemans when throughout they were the only ones who played like they actually wanted to win. Even if it was Anderson and Tonali in that midfield we would still get spanked. There’s zero style of play or movements from the rest of the team.
There was zero intensity from the forward players to close down or win the ball back or even tracking back and when we did have possession there was also lack of movement from the so-called forwards. Both RB and LB were atrocious as well as CB.
I did advocate for not renewing Maguire’s deal and selling the rest but some on here agreed to give him a new deal. Especially @Happy.

Tielemans was poor. Struggled when pressed and didn’t do much in possession. Coughed it up easily a load of times also. Thought Carrick would struggle even with 5 signings but can see it being a nightmare this year regardless of any additional players being added. Looks like the only patterns of play we have are knock it in behind for runners or give it to Bruno and hope he creates.

I’m not blaming them mate, I think they’re both good players, but we’re Man Utd and those two aren’t good enough and they’re not the type of midfielders we needed either. We should have settled for two big, physical, athletic, dynamic CMs and built from there. Then you set about tackling the defence, then up front. We’re so shit we have to do it in bits.

@jm i do agree with you about atheltic and dynamic midfielders but there’s only so much the midfield two can in a game like this when the rest of the team can’t even retain possession, mark runners or create space to receive a pass. Hence why i said it’s not solely their fault for the spanking today. Carrick will continue to get schooled in the league and the Champions league.
As for the attackers can someone please tell what exactly does Amad offer… and Carrick should just freaking tell the wingers to stay high and wide instead of asking them to come Infield all the time.

JM-Think i was one of the very few on here who said a year ago we should have taken the money for Bruno. He’s a quality player but we have become far too dependent on him. You can see others just fucking shrink when he is on the pitch. Do fuck all other than pass the ball to him. As great as he has been we are still a side that is wank in possession and have been for years. A player like Tielemans would be great for City as they dominate possession and give midfielders time to get on the ball and get their heads up. We’re that shit in possession our midfield is constantly putting out fires and getting pressed. That’s not Tielemans game. Unfortunately, there is going to be loads more of it under Carrick this year.
