This is not prime Tielemans and Santos looked more lively in Chelsea. Mainoo and Bruno looks very bad at the moment. Mazrsoui and Shaw must be playing with a nasty hangover, same with Harry and Heaven. Martinez was not better when he came on. Playing a high back 4 with these cb is suicide. What tactic is that? Has Rashford toxicity already kicked in?

@jm if this was during woodturd’s time then i would say yeah the humbling defeat would spark a reaction but these guys are too far relaxed to do anything.
I also agree about Bruno but i don’t see that happening anytime soon instead he will sign a new and improved deal. I think Tielemans was also primarily signed for that No.10 role when Bruno needs a breather.

The thing is that any signings we make now will be panic buys and definitely not the playters we want / need – simnilar to how it’s happened in pretty much all the previous seasons.

I think the most telling statistic from yesterday was our less than 40% possession stat, against what several people on here have already described as the worst Milan team they can remember. So nothing’s changed, we still can’t keep the ball, despite the introduction of Santos and Tielemans. And the technical ability, or lack of it, throughout the side, means that this won’t change. We’re in for another season of being outplayed most weeks and relying on hitting teams on the break.

@jm that was my point yesterday.. you can’t try to implement a new playing style with the same group of shite players that have been here for years. Every other team out there has completely transformed their whole team 2times over while we still have Luke shaw, Dalot and Mazraoui at Full backs.
Did you see the way Martinez was escorting RLC for his goal… absolutely disgraceful.
If it was up to me; Bruno will be 32 next month and while he still retains some value i would sell Bruno now and push Tielemans into the No.10 then sign 2more atletic monsters at midfield. That’s midfield rebuild completed. Surely it can’t be that difficult.

@Dee – I don’t see Tielemans as a number 10 at all, that’s not his game. If anyone else should play there it would be Cunha surely? Either way, they won’t be selling Bruno so it’s a pointless discussion.

As people have said on here it is obvious Carrick was brought in because we have no money and he won’t whinge. He’ll be happy just to be in the job. If you have no money you can’t bring in a top or good manager. They’ll have conditions like an X amount of money for transfer.

@jumpers selling the above listed would mean replacing them and that’s something Ineos aren’t willing to do… fault the gimps for all their thievery but at least they did splash money on the team every summer window it just was by inappropriate people.
