That’s a lovely goal from Mason Mount. Bet that would really fuck you off if he had a good season wouldn’t it @DeeUtd?! π

4th August 2025 at 12:08 pm #223013Yep, fair enough. He’s been a bad signing so far because of his injury record. But apparently he’s a top lad and a good professional – i’d love it if he stayed fit all season and became a good player for us.

4th August 2025 at 12:17 pm #223014@happy – How in fucks name is Mount going to have a good season when there’s absolutely no place for him in the starting eleven, plus no European football? Just how many number 10 type players does Amorim want?, we’re already overloaded to fuck with Bruno, Zirkzee, Cunha, Mbuemo, Amad and Mount. It’s just plain crazy that the squad is so imbalanced.

4th August 2025 at 1:36 pm #223016The club has so many shortcomings with regards to player acquisitions etc but each manager we have had also massively contributed to what the squad is now (Amorim included) for example we have Dorgu, Leon, Amass, Shaw who can all play LWB yet he keeps choosing Dalot to play that position.. the whole world knows Bruno in CM wonβt work and Amad can play that No.10 position comfortably and the middle is clearly lacking

4th August 2025 at 2:07 pm #223020Dee – That’s not really accurate is it?! Left wingback position is Dorgu’s with Leon challenging him. Amass has been sent out on loan and Shaw’s place in the team seems to be competing for the left of the 3 CB’s spot. Dalot has played once there this pre-season from memory so that’s not really “keeps choosing Dalot to play the position” is it?
Also, don’t think Bruno has yet played central midfield this pre-season? At this moment in time it looks like Cunha and Bruno will be the 10’s. Mbeumo isn’t fit enough to start yet but he was played up front yesterday so maybe he’ll interchange with Cunha. Who knows? You don’t need to worry about it though – Amorim is picking the team!!

4th August 2025 at 2:08 pm #223021Blacky – Are you actually going to watch United this season mate? Or is the squad too imbalanced for you?!

4th August 2025 at 2:17 pm #223022To be totally accurate it’s an imbalanced bag of shite mate, so no I won’t be watching them live again. They don’t come and watch me when I’m ill!!ππ

4th August 2025 at 9:39 pm #223054mbeumo, amad, bruno are looking very good together. it’s like primark Rooney, tevez, Ronaldo. but still, good to see. Ugarte is absolutely shite. fucking hell. how did we pay money for him? get a bloody fast destroyer in midfield ASAP. mainoo was wank as well. we have no central midfielders. not one. unreal.

4th August 2025 at 10:08 pm #223058Problem with Ugarte is when he has the ball. It’s not a good factor in footballπ. I liked him coming in for his grit and passion, a very much needed in a toxic players environment that Amorim rightly is trying to sort out. BUT, his positioning and stupid decisions last night was one of the worst I have seen for a cmf. He was just stupid. Amorim wants to do it again, bringing in Hjulmand again.

5th August 2025 at 8:15 am #223065There were red flags all over the Ugarte deal right from the off but Ratshit’s clueless cunts thought that they were better judges of a footballer’s abilities or lack thereof than just about the best manager out there, who took one look at Ugarte and decided he couldn’t polish a turd after all.

5th August 2025 at 8:44 am #223067I don’t think Ugarte is necessarily a bad player; I think he is struggling for morale and playing pretty much solo in a midfield with Fernandes and Mainoo unable to make any impact in the central area (I think a lot would struggle there in those circumstances)… I’d really like to see United get a proper beast in the midfield (like Caicedo or Baleba-style) and see how Ugarte performs then.

5th August 2025 at 8:57 am #223069@Sympathy – If you check his record at Sporting, he only started just over 50% of their league games during the two years he was there, and that was under our current manager Amorim. It was then the same story at PSG for a year before they decided to get rid, and now we’ve got Amorim leaving him out of games and the Europa League final completely, without him even having a single minute from the bench in that game.
Whichever way you want to spin it mate you can’t deny the signs are pointing to yet another big transfer mistake, simple as that._____________________________

5th August 2025 at 9:19 am #223071Is Ugarte or Mainoo or both the problem in midfield? Ugarte for me, he’s just not physically equipped for that position in the PL. Yes, Mainoo lacks pace and wants to play in slow motion but he is technically miles ahead of Ugarte. I only watched the first half of the Everton game of the pre season but it was obvious that Mainoo was trying to play quicker. With a powerful and quick DM next to him I still think he will be a star for us in the coming years.

5th August 2025 at 9:57 am #223073@blacky67 – don’t get me wrong mate, I would have gone for other midfield options ahead of Ugarte no doubt… but I don’t think he’s a total failure just yet… he can do a job there if he has someone decent next to him. Unfortunately we don’t. I agree the money for him was too much and that we could have done better though.

9th August 2025 at 1:44 pm #223326I’m hoping it is just because it’s a friendly, but the players are running like they are stuck in treacle… No pace or energy at all

9th August 2025 at 2:03 pm #223330Back 3 doesn’t fill me with confidence. This and a lack of new goalkeeper and cmf will haunt us. Attack is more fluid with our new players. Mbuemo is not at 100% yet.
