People getting blocked & sign in issues

Morning all

I know there have been a number of issues with logging in recently. People have been getting messages that they’re blocked etc.

Rest assured, I’m looking at how to solve this permanently and will continue to do so. The problem is a plugin I use which is supposed to block spammers/bots but it’s mechanism to detect fake posters is sometimes too strict, resulting in real posters being blocked, which is a real frustration for both yourselves and me.

In the meantime, every time I see anyone having issues, I get an email to my phone and fix it straight away. Don’t hesitate to email me at editor@footydebate.com whenever you’re having issues and I’ll be straight onto it.

Ed, all good from this side. I do hope you keep the Blocker mechanism to stop any unwanted company or just random invasions. Equally, hope we can get new faces to sign up on here regardless of who they support just to bring in different sets of viewpoints to the table.

I’ve had to add an “I’m not a robot” check box for further protection against spam. Let me know if this causes any problems logging in and I’ll make sure to get it fixed asap
