Wouldn’t surprise me at all if the team revert to type and draw… we simply haven’t been convincing in a single game this season (good in parts yes, but never 100% guaranteed winners by the 70th minute sort of thing). This could be extremely nervy and it’s up to the players to play at a high tempo, find a number of goals and get us a good lead where we can then rest players like Fernandes, etc.

A win is a must here as we have difficult fixtures after this and the run in is not easy at all. A lot of games we have struggled in over recent years. We’ve been grinding out wins but will need to start playing a lot better to get CL football. If you wanted to be positive we have Villa, Liverpool and Chelsea all coming up, so we have CL football in our own hands if we can do the business in those games.

@sympathy, I’ll be honest here, I’m a fan of Amad. I love watching him with the ball at his feet but he needs to be dropped for a few games. His end product both in terms of goals and assists is appalling. Mbuemo on the right, Cunha on the left and Sesko through the middle.

@N1xer – I think we will need at least another 20 points to get top 4 mate, but if as seems highly likely 5th place will get you in it may be nearer 15 points. I have always felt that Villa will start to struggle, especially once the Europa League kicks in again, and Chelsea’s remaining fixtures are horrific, especially with that absolute fucking nutjob Rosenior calling the shots! The scousers have probably got the easiest fixtures up until May, but their cup commitments will hopefully hinder them and we can hopefully put a further spanner in their works at OT in early May.
We also have another 11 day break coming up after Newcastle next week, and then a 3 week break between the Bournemouth and Leeds games, so there are really no excuses._____________________________

Read yesterday that Dorgu is pushing to be fit for the playoffs but United have said he won’t be available until April. This is exactly the kind of Luke Shaw shit I was talking about yesterday. Pushing to be fit for big international games but not fit enough to play for the club.
