We will see a completely different team now that the gravel voiced shouter has gone. Saw that already last night in their Europa game. They played well.
Also, memories of the 22/23 season here as we travelled to Forest on the back of two clean sheets including beating City at Anfield against a team with only 1 win all season and hadn’t won in 8 in all comps losing 6 of those. Final score. Forest 1 Liverpool 0. Forest fought for everything, but that fight predictably disappeared the week after and got twatted 5-0 at Arsenal (just to add insult to injury).
Mixed bag though against Forest in the PL, played them 17 times, winning 8, drawing 5 and losing 4 including the one result only worse than the Burnley game this season and that was Dyche’s 3-0 win AT Anfield where no-one on our team showed up. That was their first away win of the season. Aren’t we so benevolent and altruistic?
Who will start?
Ali, Gomez, Konate, VVD, Kerkez, Grav, Mac, Szobo, Wirtz, Ekitike and Mo is my pick.
Don’t give a shit that they played yesterday and we’ve had 8 days between games. Seen it too often backfire plus that new manager bounce.
Forest 1 Liverpool 1 (don’t be surprised, at all, if we see a Bournemouth type game/result).

20th February 2026 at 2:27 pm #239692Another must win game, no excuses.
And Szoboszlai is best deployed in midfield where he can cause the most damage.
Our opponents are on a high, so we must be totally beware of their danger BUT we must aim to teach them a proper lesson.
Alisson
Jones KonatΓ© Van Dijk Kerkez
Gravenberch Mac Allister
Salah Szoboszlai Wirtz

20th February 2026 at 3:04 pm #239699This weirdly for me has felt like some sort of an International Break lol π
Maybe because our last league game dates back to the 11th and the previous Saturday was a Cup game.
We’ve been on the back of Positive Results and some newly found Hope and Spirit that’s got us raving about certain players ala Threads which is Healthy! π
Sunday and Forest unfortunately for now feels a bit of a Stomach Cramp. They have a new Manager and they beat Fenerbahce Thursday Night Emphatically. In Saying that though, the Nottingham Team have not won any of their last 3 League games and only 3 points above West Ham. So there is Pressure.
I don’t think for me it’s the length of time away from playing and that rest. It’s the Refocus and often has been for us to BE READY AND MOTIVATED. That’s on Slot, but equally, it’s on the PLAYERS too. Win this match, and I begin to be a little more convinced we have finally TURNED THE CORNER!!!

20th February 2026 at 3:17 pm #239701Hate playing dyches teams but manager blunce could be a problem here
We have to be up for a real battle. Think it ne 1-1 think we have only won 3 games in a row twice this season. Massive few weeks coming up

20th February 2026 at 3:48 pm #239702Forest had a good away win last night availing of their new manager bounce but they travelled a distance, probably just doing some recovery work today and then light work tomorrow.
Didn’t see the game last night but previously Pereira has played a high press which may work into our hands.
12 games left, 8 wins needed. My team for this would be-
Allison
Gomez, Konate, VVd, Kerkez
Grav Szobo
Salah, Wirtz, Gakpo
EktikeLeaves us with the realistic options of Jones, Robbo, Chiesa, MacA.
Im going for the win here.

20th February 2026 at 6:03 pm #239718Another thing to note is several players will be fasting as the month of Ramadan started a few days ago.
Still think we should be ok. Just have to keep winning and hope itβs enough at the end of the season.

21st February 2026 at 7:42 am #239732Ye ginger, good shout. If they press high up it will really suit us.
I didnt see their game Thursday but ive watched fernbache and they play like marsielle. Suicidal football at times. Still good win away there
We have to be up for a battle . Win duals,2nd balls etc
We need to get a proper run together now
8 days rest. Tiredness and fitness cannot be an issue

21st February 2026 at 10:58 am #239738I actually know about the dates/period of Ramadan. It started on Tuesday and it’s supposed to be till the 19th of the following month. Mo played brilliantly last Sat. It’s just adjustments of nutrition, sleep and the right level of exertion.
If he can play, brilliant, if he can’t, we’ll simply have to adjust as a Team.

21st February 2026 at 11:05 am #239739Containing opposition intensity and pressure in minute management we have improved and become more resilient.
This is because we are better disciplined in our positional play, and reading patterns of play. It’s the slight worry though over being overran on the counter press. So maybe Forest approach to come at us, might suit us.
We have put ourselves on here this season through lots of pain however on the subject of late goals. Even the wins of our first 5 matches weren’t really something to be incredibly wholesome about.
The good news is Time has passed. We should feel more settled and confident. That means as a package we should be in a position to believe in ourselves and be ready for Forest.
General nature for the Forest players would be to try to impress their new Manager, they’ll be hungry I’m sure and they need to be, but ultimately we should be having ideas of our own.

21st February 2026 at 11:37 am #239741Every year Mo has a dip around Ramadan.
Will he this year?
Previous years heβs been playing out of this world so it was very noticeable but will we be able to tell this year?
Since heβs came back from AFCON heβs been pretty good, nowhere near his normal standards, but defo improved.-

21st February 2026 at 4:57 pm #239743Two favourable results at Chelsea and Villa. Need THREE points tomorrow and hope Everton does us a favour Monday (got 0-1 all over that).

21st February 2026 at 5:00 pm #239744Stole my thoughts Rob. It looks good and would look even better if we can win at Forest. Hope West Ham win this evening.
Lol, only downside is that the Burnley Equalizer cost me 4 points having Chalobah in my fantasy team!!!

21st February 2026 at 5:07 pm #239746That other lot still finding their way with Hill Dickinson and so I can only see a United win Monday Night. We just really need to focus and take care of own otherwise, other teams’ results around us will effectively be immaterial.

22nd February 2026 at 7:49 am #239761What’s the worst Rob? For me Forset at home. PSV was pretty bad but ultimately it didn’t matter. City away was pretty bad as they didn’t need to break a sweat to show the gulf between us.
Thing is City and Araenal are not great teams this year. Arsenal I don’t think will ever be classed as a great team with Arteta and his over reliance on set plays and anti football, but City have had brilliant teams before. This years City team is miles away from those, and with our players the least we should have expected was a strong attempt at a defence of our title.

22nd February 2026 at 8:15 am #239762Ye agree threeps, arsenal should have the league wrapped up. I still fancy them as city are no where near the team they were. They werent great v Newcastle 2nd half.
City and arsenal have dropped so many points in games they should have one
Standard is poor compared to a while back but theres all to play for at the bottom,cl and top
We need a performance and a result today. Be up for a fighy
