Yesterday Nicklas Bendtner, an Arsenal great (or not) got sentenced to 50 days in jail for assaulting a taxidriver in Copenhagen. THe idiot Bendtner also have to economically compensate the driver for the incident.
I never, ever heard of a guy who did so much crap as Bendtner. His idiotic actions include driving while intoxicated (in the wrong direction as well), sexually assault on a taxi (yes, the idiot dropped his pants and rubbed himself against a taxi) while insulting the driver. He lost his driver’s license for breaking speed limits, he got kicked out at Wolfsburg for breaking club rules and the list continues. And now he actually faces prison. What a fucking waste of talent.
I hope he never plays for Denmark again. He is such an embarrasment. I hope his club fires him as well.
I read elsewhere that others are of the opinion he should be allowed back to the national team once his penalty is served. He shouldn’t be punished twice, the argument is.
I guess I could follow that way of thinking if he had an ordinairy job.
But footballers are not ordinairy employees. They are rolemodels to countless kids out there. Surely that should count for something. Surely a line has to be drawn. If Nicklas Bendtner is that dumb that can keep screwing up time after time and still be allowed back into the super privileged world of pro football what message would that send?
What do you think?
