Hmm, interesting way of recruitment. I wonder whether those days of appointing a Manager with them serving more than 5 years will be long gone.
I certainly don’t want for us to be going down that route of sacking Managers frequently and we’ve never been that type of club.
A 2 Year term to begin with I guess as a caution to prove his worth and whether or not he’s the right fit for the club.

I donΒ΄t know if anyone of you know anything about his former club Rayo Vallecano, itΒ΄s a very peculiar club, like not a single fan could order a ticket online for their European campaign this season. You had to show up in person and wait for tickets, I love that mentality. I donΒ΄t really understand how they stay up in La Liga right now as their stadium only takes 14k and does not even have a stand behind one of the goals. He got them promoted and set up for the future even though they have been up and down in recent years. I doubt he has ever had any options available at any of his clubs. Overperformed at every last one of them, I find him more cultured than Slot, he was one heck of player as well and spent his whole career at Bilbao, so I bet he might actually have some input in how we could progress with our youth setup. They are pretty infamous for their youth setup. Got one of the most loyal fanbases in Spain, so I can see him using that to his advantage. I bet Jones and the local lads will love his input.
IΒ΄m not sure we will have the same massive window I was predicting as quite a few of the lads might change their minds about leaving, Chiesa seems to want to finish out his contract here, wowing to be fitter next season. Gomez is likely to stay with Konate leaving, Tsimikas wants to stay and play for us.
So we might not have as many outgoing players now with Iraola coming in. I even doubt Salah will leave, I donΒ΄t think he wants to leave, I donΒ΄t think his family wants to leave.

The difference in how they introduce themselves to the club is massive, a short 2 minute interview. Then a whole press conference with Slot where you can just see it on his face, he just realized how massive the club is. He was nervous as fuck in that first press conference. Meanwhile Iraola is just smiling from ear to ear, he is so happy to be given the opportunity in a one on one interview. Even compared the club in a way to Bilbao so I am keen to see what he brings on the table. He seems much more confident than Slot. Confidence rubs on people.
