City do have some mindless fans,I use the word “fans” with some contempt I have refused to join them although i do note, that a lot of the rubbish comes from overseas fans, who have probably never seen a football match but City are not unique in this respect, every top club has them and some also have a little intellegence judging by the comments made. No club is a paragon of virtue and by calling others you debase yourself. Real fans are plentiful, I have stood amongst them for years including away fans. the new era of the digital world has something to answer for but never will. As for ex footballers comments, they need to take some reality pills but then they get paid to do what they do so people will buy into it

Chelsea bossing this transfer window. Can definitely see it becoming a top 3 rather than top 2 this season with the rest of us fighting it out for 4th. Regardless of how they’re paying for it, nobody can compete with these kind of sums this summer.

Good time to be a Chelsea fan. I have to admit I’m not totally convinced by Lampard but with the players he’s got coming in, it gives him every opportunity to challenge

lampard received huge praise last year for bringing through the youngsters despite not having much choice. since then he’s dropped most of them and is now spending huge sums replacing them. not a single word will be said against him. to think even with werner, ziyech, havertz, chilwell they still need a right back and centre back and will likely spend big on both. FFP doesn’t exist anymore and Chelsea know that. easily adding over £1m a week on wages which is the equivalent to what many teams spend a year on their entire squads.

They need a keeper too, badly. Wouldn’t be at all surprised to see them break the world record again for a keeper. The likes of Oblak and Henderson would certainly demand those kind of fees at present, anyway. Not suggesting Henderson is actually worth that but Utd wouldn’t sell him to a rival without it’s a ridiculous bid.

I think Chelsea are OK at right back with Azpilucueta and Reece James a Centre Back is seemingly coming in on a free in Thiago Silva.

All the best young players introduced by Frank last season Mount, James, Hudson Odoi and Abraham will play their part this season given the number of games Chelsea will play.

Frank is building a new young Chelsea team with new signings predominantly young dovetailing with the young players who came through last season and there are more to come.

Hopefully Chelsea can put a bit of pressure on both City and Liverpool probably not this season but some time in the near future.

Exciting time to be a Chelsea fan. ?

Agree with that Ed I think Chelsea definitely need a new Keeper I don’t think they will go for Henderson for the reasons you outlined. After potentially completing Harvertz and Chilwell I think some sales out will be required to fund further buys.

I think Lampard will get Stones but more than 20 million needed. Stones played better when he had a player like Kompany at his side. He hasthe ability and skill, it is just that he has not quiet managed to lift himself for City. Pep may still fancy him though
