Don’t think anybody can complain about any sides fielding weakened teams in any comp, every side does it when it suits them, be it in the Prem, Cups, any Euro comps or anything else for that matter.
Pool have won the title and can do what they want as far as I’m concerned…

Some of those players we need to now knock on the head and sell, no two-ways. We’re relied majority of time on our first team players of which without them we would not get very far.
Not gonna lie, even though we’ve won the League, still didn’t like losing to Chelsea at Chelsea!!

I was taking the piss about fielding weak sides when teams have nothing to play for or want to rest players.
Just like it is a piss take people complaining about United or Spurs winning the Europa league and qualifying for the pound shop super league.
Europe league ‘champions’ are more deserving playing in the ‘champions’ league than any side who comes 2nd or below imo.

Agree cm, you win europa , you go into tye cl. Its the third best trophy to win after pl and cl. Utd really need to win it for finances.
I think peoples problem is utd and spurs are 15th and 16th and have been absolutely dreadful yet will get into the cl.
Not my opinion but seems to be the he general consensus . Also its never been easier to win with no clubs from cl dropping in. Standard is dreadful in the europa and highly embarrassing Liverpool did not win it last season.
As poor as utd have been, spurs are an embarrassment. The goals they give away. Romero is a clown of a defender this season. I just cant believe how bad spyrs are even with a full team. I think bode will beat them in Thursday.Utd will win it and will fully deserve it after that unreal comeback. It be huge for amiron as a bit of positivity to build on for next season.

I’m a bit torn on the CL thing. On one hand, I think some of the teams who come 3/4/5th or whatever in the PL shouldn’t be any more deserving than a team who wins a trophy. Just as Liverpool have had it relatively easy this season with nobody challenging them for the league, Utd and Spurs have had it pretty easy too with no teams dropping into the EL (something I support by the way. Never like the idea of teams failing in the CL and dropping into the EL). But it has absolutely given us (Utd and Spurs) an easier run. Neither will be deserving of a CL place but that’s just the way it is now and the same applies to anyone doing the same going forwards.
About the EL, we should be in the final. If not, Amorim needs to be sacked the following day. I’m not totally convinced Spurs make it there but if they do, I actually think Spurs win it. They’ve become a bit of a bogey team for us under Ange and I just don’t think we’ll have enough goals in us to cause them enough trouble.

Id love spurs to win it banjo π absolutely big time bit they havent got the balls for ir it and ill be-very surprised if they donβt cave on Thursday.
I certainly dont want utd to win it but they deserve it as they showed big balls againest Lyon. Spurs wouldnβt be able to do that. Mentality is shocking. They are what you call a bunch if losers.

Exactly ed, liverpool did their job
Arsenal very disappointing for me. I keep hearing about injuries yet Sakaiβs back a while now and they keep dropping points
They have lost 21 points from winn ing positions so is goals and no striker really the problem? They bought calofori and merino for 75m. They already had a host of left backs and all arsenal fans do is give out about havertz yet he is missed now.
They are a good solid side. Few additions next season and they be up there. Martinelli is not good enough. Lewis skelly is going to be a terrific player. Aresnals biggest strength is their defence and not conceding goals but this season they have conceded to much from set plays.

You’re not wrong, Waspy, we’ve been more pants than a Marks and Spencer outlet store specializing in pants, but poor Angie is in an absolute pickle… does he play what would arguably be our best 11 in the Prem to try and get some rythem or cohesion and risk injuring them… or does he chop and change 80% of the team every weekend to wrap up the sicknotes and get battered by wasps for doing so?
Have to agree about Cuti too… we all loved him, but I think that was more down to his “hardman” attitude rather than he’s actual skills… would not be upset if we get what we paid for him…
Keep saying it, if the Goonies keep what they’ve got and spunk the whole budget on Isak, I think they would win it next year…

That’s it Sean. The fact Arsenal are looking over their shoulder now at THIS City side is embarrassing. City have been dire for once and this season was Arsenal’s for the taking. Zero bottle that side. Arteta is another Wenger, for me. By that I mean the Wenger who stopped winning trophies. Not the earlier, successful Wenger. Nice football at times but just not up to it when it matters.

It comes across very harsh on spurs and about id say the same about liverpool if that was the case.
Be interesting to see how we do next season as i do think arsenal and city will be much stronger ad both will spend.

I don’t think if we were 35-40 years in rewind of this of a scenario where League Title has been consolidated, they’d be any eye-lid batted on Team Selection. If anything, this would easily resonate with most sets of Supporters.
There’s quite simply multiple stakes to be able to claim quite simply. I would say though for a dead rubber game, you’re still looking to take away a positive. Liverpool have had seasons though where we couldn’t wait for it to all go away, sooner rather than later lol! π

Could we Gents argue the point re Arsenal of what style Arteta ultimately is trying to implement? Is it to play with Bonafide Strikers or live by ‘false 9’s?
I just think with Arteta, they’ve quite simply in recent seasons not gone the full-throttle in the area they supposedly lack.
We seem to be raised these points when the Gunners have fallen short season after season.
