Hightown @3:16 indeed yes mate. I brought something here I experienced whilst watching them live last season as some of their fans expressed their angst towards Liverpool and had a clear expectation of their own team turning us over.

I know we had Mignolet in goal at the time and we narrowly won 3-2, but even though they are a bit of a tough nut to crack I felt we were convincing this term at the King Power. Puel might have gone in feeling confident last night and have noticed in relation to the draw, Leicester the only team outside the TOP 6 we’ve dropped points against so maybe that’s telling us something.

People are forgetting about spurs. They have a good of fixtures coming up and could be 2nd on sat. Picking up league wins without Kane. I wouldn’t rule them out

Sean, that’s true mate. We don’t play though till Monday so we can relax a bit but like you say, I fully expect City to be back on track.

I think Unai Emery is still trying to find his way as far as the Premier League goes and he needs I’m sure to be able to bring his own stock of players. At best maybe the Gunners could steal a draw, but we’ll have to wait and see.

I literally just finished watching the Spuds/Watforjd game (just the 2nd half mind) and we absolutely deserved that, and if we play like that Saturday, pretty confident. Fernando wasn’t too bad at all (apart from the miss!) you could see the team starting to play to his strenghts, Rose was looking like something from 2 years ago, Dinksy Winksy was great (he is going to be some player I reckon!). Perfect response to the 2 Cup games…

Chucks you lot certainly are flying under the radar, I just feel that like us you don’t have the depth to go the distance.
Mak yeah mate I’m uncomfortable with some saying we are favorites, I don’t see it that way at all. If we were playing like we did a lot last season I’d say we will take some catching but we are barely scraping by & have been pretty lucky a few times & with injuries now becoming a concern I think we will struggle to go the distance. I obviously hope I’m wrong, I’d love nothing more than that long awaited title.

Oz, it seems all us guys (Pool fans on here) are singing from the same hymn sheet as far a ‘Title talk’ goes – (I’m cautious just typing the words haha 😀 ).

I do feel though mate the more intense and extensive period of games are behind us. Though a tricky Feb and March are on the horizon our we’ll have more players recovered from injury. I’m hoping if Ox pulls though, he’ll be like a new signing for us.

The one thing sort of to our advantage whilst we’re at the top with the 5 point lead is that games are depreciating. If we’re still there with half our 14 games gone, then who knows mate.

Be good to see Oxlade Chamberlain playing again in the PL Nil. Seemingly he needs a bit more time the suggestion seems to be circa April which would be in time for the run in.

Nil/Nine: I don’t think we can expect too much from Ox this season, It’ll take a month to get match fit again so I hope people don’t expect him to be a game changer after so long out. Great to have him back though, hopefully give the troops a lift.

If Liverpool don’t start performing soon, our results are going to nose-dive. That’s the worry. We’ve ridden our luck in a lot of games and with the injuries, the confidence is draining away. Van Dijk has told the fans that they need to calm down. Anxiety is a self-perpetuating phenomenon. In order to get rid of it, we’ve got to get back on track, fast.

What I’ve said above isn’t said out of my own anxiety. I think I’m probably more calm than most now but really, that won’t last if we don’t win the next game. I expect nothing from Arsenal and you know what, we shouldn’t anyway. Let’s assume City are winning every match before a ball is kicked. We have 3 points on our plate each day and if we polish them all off, we’ve won the league.

It’s pretty freaky that Spurs are as close as they are. I guess we can’t help but hold the door for them. I really hope we get our act together and beat West Ham. they are a team who can perform on their day. they’ve got some good players and the problem with being the top team, is everyone wants to be your downfall. Those hard to motivate groups who don’t often come out of their shells are the ones to watch for.

When I looked at the fixtures last week though, I thought that Leicester looked harder. Let’s hope I was right!

The positive is Mak that although it’s been a mixed month for us, there is still a spark in the team. They are still finding a way in a lot of the games to get something be it by hook or by crook. And most of the teams in the top 6, even City, have got their problems. As for the other night, as I said previously, I think these training trips away can sometimes work two ways. Granted we’ve had our injuries, several members of the team just looked off the other night. Whilst having time off somewhere different seems like a good idea on the surface, I think you can also drift into a more relaxed mood after not playing a competitive game for a bit. (A similar thing happened two years ago vs Leicester after previously training abroad). But hopefully this will wake us up again.

Ozzy… I’d never use injuries as an excuse (I mean injuries are like assholes, right, every team has got some!), but I don’t think our depth is that bad when everybody is fit to be honest. Up top we would Sir Harry, Wee Erik, Dele and Son with Lucus, Lamaela, Fernando, Sissiko as back-up, a midfield from Dier, Winks, Vicky, Moose (wait, we sold him, still sad about that! 🙁 ) with Wee Erik, Dele, or Siisisksko as back-up is needed, (maybe another proper CM would be a good idea 🙂 ), and in defence, our CB selection isn’t too bad… FB’s are an issue, got some but they’re all a bit iffy for the majority of this season so far to be honest, certainly an area to look at in the summer!
