Midweek League/EFL Cup Action

Really pleased just for once, there’s more of a British feel in having this competition as of course, many of the lower league sides will be competing.

Some Good Ties ahead no doubt, Tuesday and Wednesday Night.

What’s changed? They’ve added some other leagues to this comp?

Anyway, I’d like to see a 2nd string side out for this one. We were very tired looking against Chelsea from as early as the 60th minute yesterday. The lads need a rest. There are also quite a few players who need minutes. I don’t know what youngsters to pick but I’d like to see most of the following in there :

Adrian, Gomez, Milner, Lallana, Shaqiri, Ox, Origi (if recovered), Brewster.

I’m sure we could have the better youth players plus them and still beat MK Dons. The first team need a break though. I hope Klopp doesn’t do anything silly there. Many games ahead.

VAR has cost us a penalty and given us nothing that wasn’t actually the case. So no, it’s done nothing for us so far at all.

Bullocks… they’ve got the bloody Forest game on my telly tonight. But then again, they do have one more European Cup than City, Chelsea, Goonies and Spuds combined… so I guess they’re entitled to be on telly once in a while… 🙂
